Hi Peter,

You go to http://www.captainsim.com/

Access to "Support" is on the upper bar,
Products-Previews-Support-Store-Partners-Media-Company
Once in "Support" click on "Check-in"
The next page asks about your Order Number, e-mail address, and security code
The next page shows "Your Profile"
Click on the "product" Weapons for FSX (you might have to click twice)
The next page is "View Product"
Down this page you have a link named "Get free Liveries"
Click on it and you are on the page where you can post or "publish" your product

Hope it works. I would love to try the Exocet as well.

Thanks for your work, I enjoy your previous missiles.

Peter, thanks, the 4 missiles work great. I was missing the Exocet from you. Thank you for making them available to the community.

BTW, what plane are you using to launch the missiles on your picture?

It's an old Royal Navy jet from the 1950/60's, it's called a De Havilland Sea Vixen and it is published by Skysim. You can purchase it boxed or download from the website or other suppliers.

Great job, need the AGM-65 for my A-10. Just a question on the Exocet, do AI ships counts as lockable targets?

Hi Victory103,

I think Ai ships do act as targets, however some discussions elsewhere on the forum would suggest that some explode when hit while others take some good few hits before they start to show any evidence of damage if at all.
I have certainly taken out a few default craft in the past.

The AGM-65 was included in the batch of 4 missiles already done and is dowloaded with the same package as the Exocet.

I have encountered a few ships that refuse to take enough damage to be destroyed.
I even went to the point of cheating by using unlimited ammo and they refused to be destroyed regardless of how many time they were hit.
It is possible that the amount of damage per missile/rocket was not enough, so they might be able to be destroyed yet. I don't know how though. Undecided

Mark,

Found this entry in the CSWEAPONS.xml file, but it would seem to apply to everything not just one missile.

<Traffic>
           <Type> DefaultAir</Type>
<!-- traffic type (DefaultAir, DefaultGround, DefaultBoat)
                 DefaultAir            all aircraft.
DefaultGround      all ground vehicles (except highway traffic).
                 DefaultBoat        all sea traffic.
User can define any specific Simobject title (i.e. de Havilland Dash 8-100) to set any specific setting. -->

Not sure how this works or if it is a general setting and that is why boats are harder to destroy.

I have not had a chance to see what effect it has when using the Exocet, but it may help.

Any thoughts?

Pete

Hi Pete.

That sounds to me like you can create a weapon specifically for destroying a target (as in the line User can define any specific Simobject title (i.e. de Havilland Dash 8-100) to set any specific setting.). Like creating an Exocet for those BIG  SHIPS!

Very interesting and definitely worth having a look at and experiment with. Cheesy

Mark,

Thats the conclusion that I came to as well. I only found it late last night and have not had a chance to try it out yet.

That may explain things as I have destroyed small craft but nothing big, like the ARK Royal that took several hits and still kept going.

If you get a chance to experiment please let me know how you get on, as I have to work away this week and so will not have much chance to play!
