Mric29,
In this first screen capture, the NAV switch is OFF. The outside photo shows the NAV light is not on.
Dans cette capture d'écran d'abord, l'interrupteur est sur OFF NAV. La photo montre l'extérieur de la lumière n'est pas allumée.

Here in this capture, I have turned the light switch ON, and now  the NAV light is on.
Ici, dans cette capture, je me suis tourné l'interrupteur sur ON, et maintenant la lumière NAV est on.

Please pardon my French,
Lou

Thank you Lou, (with translation in French, s'il vous plaît!)
I knew this switch but navlight bulbs have certainly blown up; I can't see them !

So are you saying that even with the nav switch on, the lights still do not work?

Hmmm. Mine don't show either. Sad
The strobes, beacon and landing lights (as Mric29 says) are fine, but not the Nav lights.

Well Mark that is a bit odd. As you can see from the captures the old nav lights work on my old gal.

For trouble shooting...
I started FSX and selected the 707 from my hanger. The nav lights were off in the selected plane. I captured the photos and that is that.
This was not a saved load, but just the free flight selection. see if that makes a difference.
Try your 727 and see if they work as well. We may have a loose electron running around.  Cheesy

BTW, how are you feeling Mark?

Nope. No difference. I still don't see any nav lights.

Hmmm. Nope. No nav lights displaying there either. Sad

I think I'll do a reinstall of both the 707 and 727 and see how it goes after that.

BTW, how are you feeling Mark?
Not too bad. Today is the first day since the operation (Tuesday morning AEST) that I have been able to stay out of bed for more than two hours. I was sleeping for about 4 to six hours for every two hours awake. Now I'm doing that after about four hours. So I still need to lay down and sleep/rest often. I'll bet the pain management medications are doing it.

Which /Texture/ folder are you talking about?
The fx_xxx files are normally in the FSX/Effects/ folder, and if they are there, they should work. I will look into it more.

Mark

Edit: I just had a look for those files and I can't find them anywhere in my FSX installation. Looks like I need to do a repair or a full install of FSX! Sad

Just a long shot. Are fuses simulated on the overhead panel?

As strange as it may sound, it sure seems like it has something to do with those pesky fuses.

I have just deleted FSX (removed EVERYTHING so there was no trace of FSX left), reinstalled FSX/ACCELERATION using the repair option and this created a new installation of FSX. The first thing I tried after reinstalling (using the repair option) the 707 was the nav lights. They weren't working. Cry

But I got them working again. Here is how.

When they don't work, I have to turn all the lights OFF, press all the fuses IN, then turn on my nav lights and they work. IF the fuses are already IN, I the way to do it is, that I have to turn all the lights OFF, pull all the fuses OUT, then press them all back IN again, then turn on my nav lights and they work.

Weird! But they are there and working again. Now I have a nice fresh installation of FSX to mess around with. Unfortunately, I have all my add-on aircraft, scenery and all to reinstall. At least all my CS FSX aircraft are reinstalled and ready to fly. Grin Grin Grin
