I do not know if I do something wrong here, when I try to decrase my pitch.
T/O and climb out. Autopilot set no Manual. Retract flaps. At 5000 feet activate Aileron and Elevator switch on Autopanel at 1500f/m, pitch is now 9.0. At 10000 feet try to decrease my ptitch down to 7.0 degr via the upper pitch knob on autopanel, but it only increase, what ever I do. What am I doing wrong????  pls help me.......

This happens to me if I get carried away with the pitch controls on my joystick.  I have to null the pitch out to zero climb or decend and then its possible to use the pitch control on the AP. I should mention that I have the Forcefeedback 2 and it has two buttons either side of my hat switch. They were automatically assigned by the sim.

The pitch trim using the joystick is VERY sensitive and moves much too fast. Use very short taps on the trim buttons. Try using the mouse on the cruise trim button just below and to the right of the power levers. See screen capture

Trimming is something that is hard to teach. In the real plane you should use the yoke to place the nose where you want it and then trim out the pressure. That's the real world. In the sim you do not have the feel of the pressure on the yoke so it is very easy to over trim.

Try very short taps on the trim buttons on the joystick. I am able to trim OK doing just that.

I believe this problem isn't with the pitch trim, it is with the autopilot pitch control,  which does not work correctly in the current version of the plane, unless you are running FSX Acceleration.   This is a well documented issue, and there is even a download to fix it.  Trouble is, the download is not a proper fix, it will cause the yoke to wildly go back and forth with the autopilot on.   Ther only thing that wroked for me was to purchase Acceleration.  Now it works like it should for me.

Thanks for the help and advises. It seems that I have to install the FSX Acceleration. I do want this 727 to work cause I like it very, very much.
With the best regards

You can try the download on this site and see if it solves the problem for you.   It did not work for me.  It caused my yoke to violently move back and forth.  Same for at least two others here.

If you get Acceleration, then do the flight model mods from Michael (on this forum), you can fly this baby by the numbers with real EPR settings and it is remarkable!   I would have preferred not to have had to purchase Acceleration, but it WAS worth it to me.

Thanks David Paul!!!, Yes I purch the FSX Acceleration and it works perfectly. Strange indeed that I need this addon to get it work. The only mish I get when I now start the FSX is an error code that says I-80004005. It has something to do with the activation. I do really have the legal stuff, both the FSX and the FSX Acceleration, but I suppose that I have to live with that. No my 727 is flying like a real bird. Thanks again David Paul!!
With great regards

Michael is a very talented guy and one of his mods is here, Otto. http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1296889437
I'm using his -100 and -200 mods and have nothing but praises there.

David,
I have FSX SP2 on a Windows 7 64-bit.  The only FSX Acceleration Expansion product I see is for Windows Vista.  Will this work or cause conflicts?

It should work fine on Windows 7 64bit.

I bought the Acceleration Expansion Pack when it first came out (when I was using Windows XP Professional) and it works perfectly on my Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

Mark,
One other question ... Are there any special installation instructions (i.e. special compatibility modes) or would, simply, "Run as Administrator" work?
