The next project (I mean 747!!)

Okay guys, its inevitable, the P.M-D,G 747 is an FS9 product made for FSX operation. They say they'll have one after their 777, so lets wait 7 years! Captain Sim's hangar will include all Boeing jets, excluding the 747. Their ability to create ultra-high detail aircraft has improved over teh years, and many think tehy must create a 747 next. What is your take? What 747 model shoudl they create first, or should thye branch off Boeing for their airliners now?

I myself would rather see a L-1011 than yet another 747. Along with the 737s, the 747 is one of the aircraft i find less appealing, so a 1011 would really make my day  Roll Eyes

You know, by the time they're done with the 777 and 737, the 787 may very well be out. I'd like to see that.

The real-life 787, or another company's 787?

As I love the Boeing add-ons from CS, another company and another company, I would like to see more Airbus add-ons in the near future.

A 747 Captain family would be great!  Cheesy and I bet it would be a good seller for CS. I may have said this before in another post but, after the 777 surprise I think it may be possible.

FSX native 747 with systems and interiors??? If CS did it, it would be amazing.

I would want them all without a doubt, I can't get enough CS

The 767-400 also and I hope CS still has plans for it  Wink it may be in the works with 777 since they have similar cockpits, hopefully.

I really like the CS Boeing line up and do hope they continue but at some point it will be more or less complete and I would like to see any of the others in the poll...especially the L-1011. I did the SFO to JFK and back with TWA quite a few times as a kid and would love to have it in my hangar.

I voted for A330/340. There is no decent "big Airbus" available on the market at the time. I know there is one made by another company, but it is a rip off and not worth the money.

Here is a list of commercial planes and their availability in FSX:

MODERATOR: Paul, we have removed the list because of Forum Rules #4,6 violation.

There are McDonnell Douglas DC-10 made by CLS. They don't have FMC, the panel is really bad but the exterior model is "ok".

Thanks Mark! I completely forgot about it... I'll add it to the list.

I know about CLS model, but my goal was to include advanced add-ons only, that's why you don't see it in the list.

Besides the point. You put the DC-10 with couglas aircraft, however it was produced by McDonnell Douglas, not Douglas alone. The MD prefix didn't come along until they needed an updated DC-9...and it went to the MD-11 as well.

CLS has done those, but I wouldn't recommend them. I have the A340, and it's pretty disappointing (Like most of their products. They don't even compare to Captain Sim's caliber of products).

I agree with you. The first add-on I bought was a B-777 model, developed by W... and it was a disappointing purchase. Sad

I bought an Airbus 320 series from another company couple months ago and it was definitely a total waste of money.

I really wish we had more Airbuses available for FSX. I love Boeings but it'd be fun to fly Airbus sometimes, especially the A330. They are really nice planes.

Looks as if the 747 takes first place with 20 total points, then the Airbus A330/340 with 17 points and the DC-8 finishing third with 11 points.

Why would you combine all 747 votes together? The old 747s are completely different than the new ones. Even if CS would decide to do the 747-200/300 series, then there is no possible way that the package would include the 747-400 or 800. That's why A330/340 should be considered a winner of this poll, with DC-8 on the second place, and 747-400 on the third place.

Be nice for CS to create some planes that aren't available through other vendors.  the 747 is available by someone else and it would just make the idea of spending more money for a plane I have difficult.   CS makes some good models already that aren't available by others, some need to be fixed to work correctly but I am very pleased with the ones I have.

It would be great to see the 747-400 from Captain Sim. I know another company makes it, but it would be nice to see it from CS.

Good evening everybody,

Peter, you have forgotten the baby 747 ( SP ) in your poll. I add a vote to 747 100/200 series but it's too late...

I'd rather see a 747-400 from CS, but nobody has ever mentioned the Dash-8. That's a great aircraft that is not well-represented in FSX.

Yeah. I meant Dash 8, not Dash-8.  Wink

Though who manufactures it? I've heard DeHavilland, Boeing, and Bombardier...

The Dash 8 was developed by de Havilland and is now produced by Bombardier. Check our the link provided by Edwin.

Not to be rude or anything, but I would say the 747-100 led to the 747-400/8 series not the A380. I agree with you though. I LOVE the 747-100 it is an amazing aircraft! I saw The City Of Everett prototype 747 last year and it is a beautiful aircraft with an amazing history!

Yeah, if I remember correctly, the 747-100 wasn't used for that long. However, the 747-400 is the most popular variant.

I flew on a TWA 747-100 series in August 1987 R/T between KJFK and EDDF. I don't know how long or how many were produced but the 100 series was used for a long time.

Yeah, the 747-100 was used for awhile, so I didn't really say that correctly. What I mean is: The -100 wasn't the only variant around for long. There are wider gaps after the -200, -300, -400, and -8 than there is after the -100. Also, I'm pretty sure the 747-100 got the least amount of orders.

747-100    167 built

747-200    393

747-300    81

747-400    694

the 747-100 was not the least to be made but it still is not the most

just a small mistake. but its always a good idea to look at the past to find our future. what in mean is that the production numbers should set the order in witch cs puts them out
