Heading Select

I'm trying to use the heading select, but the manual says you have to press the selector to engage Heading Select after you press the hold button. I've clicked just about every spot on the knob, and all I've succeeded in is sending the heading number up and down, meanwhile, ATC is barking at me to expedite my turn to heading 105. Is there a trick to this?  Undecided

You must press the Heading Select knob [SEL] using the mouse right button. Otherwise it doesn't engage.
