Captain sim scenery

I was wondering, If Captain sim would be able to make scenery, and good scenery too. I would be willing to pay for a good airport, and some AI traffic that comes with it too.  If The quality of the planes could be put into scenery, That would be amazing.

Orbx has the best scenery, plus peopleflow technology and upcoming trees that actually drop leaves in the fall.

I saw it, and it only does Australia and little GA airfields. I wanted something for like the whole world, or Europe and America. But what would you think of the Fly tampa scenery?

Well, no. Orbx covers ALL Australia, and they currently cover teh Pacific Northwest, The Pacific Fjords (Canadian Pacific Coast and south Alaska near Ketchikan) and Northern Rocky Mountains (ALberta, Montana like Glacier NP). They'll have a Central Rocky Mountains later on and also Northern California. Their plans are to indeed cover all of the US and Canada for FSX.

It is, I love Mega Airports. FlyTampa is good, I have Kai Tak, but they too only do airprots and surrounding scenery.

I am using SceneryTech NA, GEX NA, UTX USA for the United States. Its pretty good when compared to the default FSX or MegaEarth. MegaEarth sucks big time. It looks good from 10000 feet on up but on approach in a metropolitain area it is terrible. Plus it does not cover the entire US and there support is almost is ever worse. I have a fortune in unusable MegaEarth scenery.

Orbx for the pacific nw and fjords and rockies. If you like Orcas Island, check out my videos for more, orbx has a great add-on airport for that. If you want airports in europe, mega airport series is the best. And for other parts of the USA, orbx is working on it, but many other developers haven't gotten to big US landmasses yet.

I'll just wait, but I think Fly Tampa Might be the winner. Although I like Orbx, I don't do GA, and Hardly and Australia and Alaska flying. Maybe I'll try it, but remember, I still don't have FSX since my Computer died.

I think that's all I want though, not mountains, and other stuff.  And I always have a problem with that WOAI stuff, so I just use the Default, which is trash.

Might not be what you're after but the UK is pretty well covered in terms of high detail scenery.  I use VFR Generation X Photographic Scenery from Horizon which in three volumes covers the whole of England and Wales.  They also do Scotland now too.  On top of that, UK2000 do a series of airports, covering every single one from the major international ones down to the minor VFR airfields which all blend in seamlessly with the photo scenery.  I've also complimented these with Treescapes, a product from Earth Simulations, which populates the flat photographic landscape with thousands of accurately placed autogen trees, giving it a far more realistic 3D look.  To top it off, I also have Earth Simulations' Alderney and Isles of Scilly scenery, which is (in my opinion) as detailed as OrbX FTX, but covers much smaller areas.

Out of the box in stock FSX, the UK is a bland and unnatural desert landscape. The above products completely transform the experience into something very real and lifelike!

Tom.

An example of Orbx's wonderfully modeled airports, this time fictional Cushman Meadows:
