I think we could use one of these....

Yes the 767-400ER would be any easy stretch of the 767-300ER just with different engines and a glass cockpit just like the 747-400. Would be very nice to help complete the fleet.

I believe that Captain Sim are still planning to do the 767-400. There has not been any news on its progress. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I had a dream they made a 757-400 to parallel the 767-400 jsut like the 767-200 and 767-300 for the 757's since they differ by only a few feet.

A 757-400? You mean like this?  Cheesy

Somebody on airliners.net made this. I wonder if he'll swap it for the 747 I photoshopped into Van Gogh's "Starry Night".  Smiley

SO with the concoming Virtual cokpit and systems of the 777 on the horizon, is it safe to say that the 767-400er will be an easy transition from the 777 cockpit design???

After the 767-300/200/Freighter/AWACS/TANKER were here, we were expecting the 767-400 next. It was discussed quite a bit and we thought that it would arrive in about a year. That was in 2009 and still no 767-400. We continue to wait. Maybe with the glass cockpit in the 777, they can use the experience to carry over to the 767-400. Wink

Hi now that they are working on the 777 it is even more likely for the 767 400 since the cockpits are very similar not the same but I guess they can modify the 777 vc  to the 767-400.

Upon receiving my 777 copy for early review/testing I asked and they say "We announced a few years ago that we have some plans on the 767-400 development. We still have them."

In my opinion it would seem impractical to create the 767-400 because the cockpit resembles more like the B777.    So it seems more logical for Captain Sim to just create the B777 with a B777 cockpit.  Note- this opinion is based on B777 cockpit photo's I saw on airliners.net.    I hope mentioning this site does not get me in trouble.
