Notorious Black Line and 1.3

Some of you may have seen on a previous topic a picture of a vertical blurry, black line in the passenger section. Since downloading 1.3, I have experienced a now horizontal black line which cuts through every single interior view (I'll post screenshots when I get a chance). In addition to that, sometimes when I press "A" to switch views, the screen freezes and the sound loops rapidly (creating that whirring sort of noise). These two things did not occur in 1.2. Should I just go back to my old version and hope 1.4 is better, or is there a fix for this?

Thanks,

You can always go back to a previous version if you want to. However, if you have the 707-300C, VC-137 or E-3 Expansion Models you will encounter errors with them.

I find that v1.3 works fine. The major difference I have noticed with it is that if I change the fuel quantity, once I return to the sim, my fuel transfer valves are closed, external power and air get turn off (if they were on) and my bleed air and aircon pack switches are turned off. Not a good thing if the engines are already running. Wink

Do you suppose a reinstall would help?

There is no harm in trying a reinstall. When you run the installer when the product is installed, you get a "repair" option. Try that first. After trying that, you can uninstall/reinstall if the black line is still present.

A final option would be to use the Extended Download Service/Get New Links and download and install it from the new installer.

Had the 'Black line' probem occur accasionally, found a solution, that solve this problem.
1. Save the flight.
2. Turn off Microsoft Flight simulator
3. Run the Disk Defragmenter in Microsoft Windows
4. Restart Microsoft Flight simulator, load the saved flight
5. Then apply 'Reset', followed with loading your  saved flight.

Thanks for the tip. I reinstalled and it fixed the problem, but I'll be sure to use that if it reappears.
