Fuel Pumps and Sounds

Hi @ all!
Today I bought my B757 for FSX and now I have some questions:

1.) When I load an cold&dark situation (engines also off!) then I have engine sounds in the outside view. Why? Only in the outside view. In the cockpit or cabin there is no engine sound.

I tried various of things but I cannot stop engine sound in the outside view.

2.) When my aircraft is ready for taxi and I switch off the fuel-pumps, than the engines still running. Is this normal? I think they should be go off.

Hi whiggy.

Navigate to [MSFS FSX root folder]\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200\sound.PW and rename the following files:

757idle      to   757idle.bak
x757cfm    to   x757cfm.bak
x757idle    to   x757idle.bak
x757idle2  to   x757idle2.bak

and then go to the sound.RR folder and do the same.

That should make you 757 nice and quiet once everything is shut down.

Hope this helps.

As far as I know. The sounds are for the APU. I'm not 100% sure. I bought and am using the AudioworX 757-200 Soundpack , and so I have all those sounds back. I can't be bothered finding out what sounds they are and then renaming them.

I should also have said that you don't have to change those sounds if you don't want to. Wink

Ok. After I renamed the files above, the problem is fixed, but I hope, disabling the files will not interrupt another important sound.

It never has for me. And I've never seen anyone else saying they have any problems caused by the renaming of those files.
