Generally speaking, what power settings are recommended for the C-130 in the various phases of flight? I've done some searching, and found a maximum T-I-T of 1078 C, but no maximum torque number.
In climb, 971 C T-I-T.
In cruise, 280 KTAS for the E, and 300 KTAS for the F.
In descent, 5000 lb torque, and 250 kias.
I've found no specific approach or landing power settings.
Can anyone help me out?
The manuals aren't much help, but there is a You Tube video of the Blue Angel's 130T doing it's airshow routine from INSIDE the cockpit. The pilot and copilot are calling out power settings and airspeeds all the time for all aspects of flight. For instance for a tactical landing,
Alt 1500' Full flaps, Full power (in the LC-130H I've found it impossible to exceed 150kts in ANY attitude with full flaps!)
Level flight power on airspeed 95kts (you read right!) nose down 45 degrees power off. touchdown 115kts.
Needless to say I learned a TON.
just do a search there on Blue Angels Fat Albert
No wonder they got a 130 on a carrier!
