Just downloaded. This aircraft is very well done. Thank you Captain Sim for an outstanding job and mind blowing attention to detail. You guys and gals, rock! Very awesome. I blame you folks if I don't get enough sleep tonight before work at 04:00 AM! LOL

Cheers,
Thad

Indeed it is another fine Captain Sim product.  Installed with no problems and flew it straight out of Ellsworth AFB tonight for a thus far perfect ride.

Look out!  Here comes Major Kong...... Grin  Fried Chickens in the Barnyard! Wink

I bought it and installed it as soon as it was released. I then took it for a flight from, then around and then back to Guam. A 4000fpm climb at about 300+KIAS just after takeoff. It's like a rocketship after take off and I had no troubles reaching FL400.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the range of the B-52? I flew for about 1000nm (2 and a bit hours) after a climb to FL400 and still had about 90% fuel.

@Captain Sim - Great job on the VC for the B-52 Exterior. Thanks for completing it.

Well worth the wait. Does anyone know how to release the chute automatically after landing ? An old B-52 I had would release the chute if the spoiler was armed with shift + /
Tried it but it didn't work here. Also put the chute lever in a "different" position than default thinking that was arming the chute to pop on touchdown, but that didn't work either. Not complaining, just wondering.

Overall this is my favorite FSX plane. Thanks CS !

The real-world range is "Unrefueled 8,800 miles (7,652 nautical miles)." I'm not sure about the B-52 Driver. Should be about the same I would think.

Manually only on the real thing. Use lever on pedestal or "wing fold" key (must be assigned)

I am on a flight right now. Flying at FL370 @ M.83 and 1160nm from PGUA and I still have 91% fuel. At this rate my range is about 13000+nm.

I am flying from PGUA to VVTS with a flyover at VVNB - Andersen AFB to Hanoi then to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). This is my Operation Rolling Thunder bombing of Hanoi. But instead of returning to Andersen AFB I'll be landing at Tan Son Nhut. I just don't have the time right now for a flight of around 12 hours so I'm doing a 7 hour one instead. I was honestly expecting to use close to 50% of my fuel. At this rate I'll be lucky (unlucky?) if I use 25%.

That is nice to know. I'll create an assignment for my joystick for that. The two landings I have done so far I have done it manually with the lever on the pedestal. The Chute disappears after I dropped below 40 knots, I think, I'm not exactly sure. But it does go away automatically. I just couldn't close the chute hatch after I used it, I had to reload the plane. Maybe the "wing fold" shortcut will close it.

I have one question before buying the B-52 Driver.

How are the FPS in the B-52? In VC-view and outside? Can anyone compare it to standard-FSX-aircraft.

No noticeable frame rate impact on my machine.

Definately a lot less than the CS C-130.

Like jbntx,  I don't see any real noticeable loss on my frame rates either.
