Direct X 10 with 757-200 Block

I just recently reinstalled my 757-200 and the website says its DX9/10 compatible but on my FSX DX10 is turned on and the 757's are coming out with white textures. I would really like to fly my 757 again. Oh and for some really weird reason, my FSX can only run using DX10 and not 9. If i were to run it on DX9, all my default scenery will mess up and flicker and stuff. So theres no way i can use DX9 unless i reinstall the entire game. Any suggestions?

Reinstall the game? I mean, even the game developers suggest people to use DX9 as their main environment for playing the game. DX10 isnt actually DX10, its DX10 preview. Its basically just a preview for an upcoming patch (that never got developed / released) that would introduce DX10 proper.

Yes. DX10 Preview does eat up your frame rates. It is highly recommended, by the experts, to leave it off. Not only that, a lot of addon aircraft are not DX10 Preview ready anyway, so it does nothing for those ones.

Regarding DX9 VS DX10 ...
I experience video "tearing" with all my premium aircraft including CS 757, 767, another company 747, JS4100, ect. This tearing ususally starts about and hour into the flight and begins with the crt/lcd displays in the 2D cockpit. I never get this in DX10 and therefore usually always run the sims that way. Default aircraft are unaffected. Have tried a hundred config tweaks.

Intel 9550 quad, 4gigs, 780sli, Nvidia 280, Win 7-64, FSX+Acc Temps seem to stay inline.

Anybody have any ideas on hw to solve the tearing in DX9?
