According to their reply to the same question in Facebook. No they are not:

Captain Sim: If you mean the 9.99 sale - unfortunately no. But we'll see what kind of holiday dicounts we'd offer this year.

Yeah. You need to wait and see.

Captain Sim have continually stated that there won't be another €9.99 sale this year. It has something to do with the 707-300 release. I'd call it making the most profit from it that they can before another sale. Fortunately for anyone by the 707 now, they get it for €20 less than those that bought it when it was first released.

My problem is that I want them as soon as they are released. Like the B-52 Driver today (yesterday to me). I clicked on the Buy Now button just as soon as it was announce on the Captain Sim Home page. Ten minutes later I had it installed and was off flying it. As soon as the announcement for "soon to be released" shows up, I start putting money aside for it.

No point in a €9.99 sale for me, I already have everything Captain Sim have released for FSX so far and I don't use FS9 any more. Roll Eyes

So, Mark, what does a man need then if he already has everything?
Lets get philosophic now.  Grin

I think this 9.99 sales actions is the most discussed thing at other places but I hope that everybody realized that CS already blew 20 Euros off the 707 while this still is a top product.
You name it, the first few buyers usually go for higher prices, not only on flight sim addons of course.

I'm ok with that since I could use the 707 from nearly day one and enjoyed her while I bought some of my other titles at those sale actions.
Maybe we should abandon this questioning about the next date of those actions and just get a positive surprise if it happens and still enjoy the stuff if bought at the normal price.

I mean, although some products are older now (meaning "available for a long time") they still get their fixes, some new features and so on. If I look at the somehow older 727, she received fixes, a new sound set and later a weather radar in the VC.
So the stuff still gets some ministration while some (not all) other devs abandon their buyers or leave years between some fixes.
Looking at the prices at Captain Sim therefor gives me an "ok" on most products.

I understand that there are some who don't have the money to throw around like others. So I can see why they could need a €9.99 sale to get one they really want.

I think that when you said "Maybe we should abandon this questioning about the next date of those actions and just get a positive surprise if it happens and still enjoy the stuff if bought at the normal price". is the way it should be. I bought the 727-100 Base Pack for €9.99 during last years Christmas sale. I'm not sure whether I got the Space Shuttle and XLoad for €9.99 each during a sale (they are only €14.99 and €9.99 now respectively anyway), so I think I only saved the €20 on the 727-100.

I look at it like this. You buy it because you want it and it is worth the price. Or you want it but you don't want to buy it at it's normal price because it isn't worth it, so you want to buy it during a massively discounted sale. But I guess the bottom line is, in the end, Captain Sim still make money from the sale. So I might be being a little too critical.

I have several CS planes for FS9, but none yet for FSX.

A sale would change that mighty fast.  Cool

Looks like they are having the sale.  Which sucks, because i had $25 dollars set aside for this sale, but then I heard they weren't going to have it.  So, I bought some points for a MMO I play to take advantage of their sale.

Yes as posted on http://www.facebook.com/captainsim we'll run a sale this x-mas, but it won't be a total 9.99 sale tho.
As was told before the 707 and B-52 will cost more, 24.99 and 19.99 to be exact. For 24hrs only...
