Simple question.

Recently I have noticed guys updating their FMC's here and Navigraph do have charts although I can get them elsewhere.

So is it worth the payment?

Hi Cappy

I subscribe to Navigraph and get monthly updates for my Addons like Captain Sim 757/767, FSC8.6, a bunch of other addon aircraft etc...

I guess it depends on whether you want or need to keep them updated. Without updating them you can still fly anywhere anytime on any route you want to. I suspect that if you fly for a Virtual Airline, it is a must to keep them updated. I decided to pay for the annual package for €20 or ~$AU30, and that gives me 13 updates at a cost of $AU2.30 per cycle and I consider it to be worth it. At the end of my current package, I'll most probably buy another annual package.

I buy them; their data matches the charts, which I use.  I also like seeing the current chart when I do my preflight.

Thanks guys, I might give them a try then.

Is there anywhere the updates can be found for free or is Navigraph the sole source?
Not that I have anything against them, just curious.

www.planepath.com has free CS 757 - specific procedures, they say.

I haven't used them, so beyond that I can't comment.

I ended up getting Navigraph as it supplies charts for the world.

If anyone wants free current Australian charts you can get them here.
