767 ATC & ATIS transmissions and broadcasts.

I'm having a dickens of a time trying to get ATC and ATIS messages using any variant of the 767. Using the ATC menu I can see the message link highlight and the frequency changes on the radio stack. When using the ATIS facility the ATC menu changes as though the ATIS broadcast is working. By a fluke I was using 767 freight load manager and when saving the loaded freight the ATC/ATIS radio came alive, only to dissappear again when the save had completed. I've also tried numerous changes of view point both internal and external aircraft views. I've tried loading other aircraft i.e. Microsoft and Just Flight and the ATC/ATIS work just fine. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the complete 767 package.
Has anyone come across this before and how do you correct it. I've searched the KB and can't find any clues.
Thanks,
Ian

Start FSX. From the Free Flight menu, select the C172 and click on Fly Now. Once your flight is ready, shut it down using CTRL+SHIFT+F1 to  turn the mixture off, turn everything else OFF EXCEPT the Avionics Switch. Save the flight and make it the default flight. Now when you start FSX and you start with the 767, you will have Avionics power already ON. Now you will be able hear the ATIS messages when you tune in, as well as communicating with the ATC.

Note: I have selected CTRL+SHIFT+A as a keyboard shortcut for turning the Avionics On in FSX.

Hope this helps.
