HELP!! SP 2.3
Jan 22nd, 2010 at 6:31pm
Print Post
My 727-100X was perfect and all was going well, until I tried to install new EPR gauges. Then  727 became unstable, all kind abnormal performance problems developed. I uninstalled  the New EPR gauges, but damaged was done. (Please, I am not blaming to ERP. Posibliy I did some thing wrong during the installation)

I decided start  from beginning. I unstalled 727-100x and reinstalled from "my profile"  with new sp 2,3.

It was a big mistake. Now I have 727-100 with most of cockpit/APU sounds and AP pitch/decent function disappeared.

I searched all KB# and found KB#4897 (for AP pitch problem ) and KB#2930 (Sound problems). KB#4987 made some pitch improvement, but control yoke costant over reacting and trying to make pitch changes and Trim is not correlating the smooth the climb/decent. KB#2930 did not do anything.

I think Captain Sim Support aware 2.3 problems and they are trying to solve them.

How can I go back 727-100X SP2.2 and wait until CS solves the SP 2.3 problems? or  What can I do????

it is shame perfect working CS-727-100, now  is not stable? Cry Cry

Thanks in advance
Sanal

Just reset your flight and you will hear all the sounds again.

Hi Sanal.

Have you still got your csp721_2200.exe file? If you have then install it.

Note: I have found that many upgrade to the latest SP of the Captain Sim aircraft and throw out the older ones. My advice is to back them up on a CD or DVD so you always have the older SP's  available if you find them better than the latest. I have kept all mine (maily because I hate getting rid of stuff). Wink

Hope this helps.

Mark,
Unfortunately I did not keep any copy of csp721_2200.exe .files.

I reset several times flights./ views/screens.Once sound came  back then gone.
I wonder  Captain Sim can help to provide csp721_2200.exe file.
Thanks
Sanal

Asanal: I've read this before, people who have jumped at 2.3 without saving theire original 2.2 copy I can only imagine how you're feeling. The same happened to me when I installed 2.3; I got doubtful about it so I kept my copy installer of 2.2; you know just in case; It's such a nice plane; It would be a shame to RUIN it!!!!!!!...
After testing 2.3 for a couple of days or so I realized that the members were doing all the fixings, and everytime I wanted to fly it I had to unload FSX and start editing something for the 727 to work Tongue Most dissapointing! I suspected that after the release of 2.3 they would only support that version; with all it faults and defects; And kill 2.2. ( What's money for,if it's not for spending?) What I don't understand is why captainsim publishes a vers. that is incomplete in its' dynamics in comparisson with its' predecessor and is happy to see us members fix all the missing things. Most dissapointing for payware.

The SP2.3 for the 727 works great for me. Only the Autopilot is finicky when try to catch the ILS and GS, but it works about 90% of the time. Maybe better than that, now that I know how to do it.

I backed up my 727 SP2.2's on a DVD (as are ALL my payware add-ons for Flight Sim), so I still have them.

As for the 767 SP1.4 and 757 SP4.4 they work perfectly for me. The only issues I have appear if I increase the sim rate to x4 or more.

I think I did the same thing as Asanal.  So are you guys saying that the cockpit switch sounds don't work in SP3 for anybody, or that I'm screwed because I didn't save SP2?
