Hi Pacifica,

I'm now running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and have been since 22 October. I have had no trouble at all with FSX. In fact it runs beautifully on my computer with all the addon aircraft I have installed working perfectly fine. This includes all the Captain Sim aircraft I have bought (see the ones listed in my signature below).

So the answer is YES. The CS757 should work fine in Windows 7.

I have made a few changes to the aircraft.cfg regarding the rocking and rolling issue that a lot are having with the 757/767. But I had those issues when running them in Windows XP Pro.

Hope this helps.

Hello Mark,

thank you for your quick answer.

I fly the 757/FSX with Windows Vista 64.
But now I will change my System to Windows 7.

Wish you a nice week and many good landings.

Pacifica

You're welcome Pacifica.

I was never happy with Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. I never tried any 64bit version of Vista so I can't pass judgment on that. But Windows 7 Professional 64bit is fantastic. So if it turns out to be better than Vista 64bit, I don't think you will ever regret making the change.

I experienced FSX crashes on Windows 7. It had to do with Uiautomationcore.dll. While fsx is running, if you use menu about 20 times, fsx will crash on you. It does not happen if you only use shortcut keys. You might wanna save this dll if you are rebuilding your pc. Check out this forum below

After I resolved this error, the crash stopped and it works great now. Also, you have to do some tweaking to get fsx to use all the cores that are in your processor if you have a multi core processor. By default it only uses one.

Thanks for that Bobby.

I shall take note of that and hopefully I won't encount this problem.
