Anyone know how to make it so the EICAS will display the EPR?

The display depends on the engine you're using.

With that, is there a way to activate the position carrots on the N1 display so you know where to position the throttles?

Can't you do that through the Thrust Management Controls on the panel?

Well, when I select TO/GA, CLB..etc, I just get the respective selection indicated in green above N1.  There are no position carrots.  I also setup all weight, c.o.g., etc in the flight computer.  I guess it's possible captain sim may not have programmed the carrots in the GE model..

I know you can dial them in on the PW; I haven't tried on the GE.  Next time I'll check.

Finally got a flight in, but was distracted and forgot to try it. I started at about 12:30 this afternoon and will be done in another couple of hours.

I'm wondering why you're needing to know where to position the throttles.  If you are using autothrust, push them forward until 1.40 (I'm going by memory here, so someone correct me please if I'm wrong on the mark) and hit your EPR button.  They'll move where they need to be.  If you are trying to do a de-rated takeoff, you know that your FMC can handle that based on an assumed temperature entered before you take off?

Manual thrust management is one of the few areas the manual isn't as helpful as it might be.  Fortunately, it is not necessary to touch it for normal operations.  If someone is motivated to use it, you are moving beyond my expertise at present.

Well, with the throttle quadrant I use, (go flight tq6) despite the current drivers and calibration, the auto throttle does not work very well.  When I engage, the airplane will throttle up and down very rapidly, so auto throttle is pretty much useless to me right now until better drivers come out.......all that and it looks cool too...
