Sorry for continuing to beat a dead horse but I'm having the same problem with outside noise on the 767 that I had on the 757.All of the edits that fixed the 757 I made to the 767 sound config but the outside engine noise is still there.

This usually works for me.  From the inside view, use the A key to cycle all the through once or twice.  Then move to the outside view (I think the wing is first).  Again, use the A key to cycle through.  Repeat if necessary.  This is a very odd problem, and one that I have decided will never be fixed.  I even switched to a Creative sound card from onboard and it didn't make any difference.

I should have added that it may take several cycles of the outside view to get this to happen.  Sometimes I just cycle through six or eight times as fast I can.

Hi Alex.

Here is how I fixed this issue. I found this in the 757x forum.

Rename :-

767idle.wav = 767idle.wav.bak
x767cfm.wav = x767cfm.wav.bak
x767idle.wav = x767idle.wav.bak
x767idle2.wav = x767idle2.wav.bak

from :-

Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300\sound.GE
Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300\sound.PW
Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300\sound.RR

That should cover all versions of the 767 (-300 -200 -Freighter)

If you don't see the .wav extension, don't worry. Just right click on each file name and select rename. Then just go to the end and type .bak
The file will be renamed 767idle.bak.wav etc and that will work too because the sound is looking for 767idle.wav etc

This doesn't seem to affect any other sounds when flying the 767.

If, however, Tim's method works, That's all good and fine.

Hope this helps.

Mark

EDIT. I zipped the files into a zip file and then deleted the files as I still have them saved in a zip file. Just in case
