Any way to disable the VC?

Any way to disable the virtual cockpit, it runs pretty slowly, and I usually fly with the VC. I tried altering the name of the interior mdl, but that just caused a CTD.
Alternatively, are there are any frame rate friendly textures for the VC?

the ACE program allows the VC to be cockpit only which means the cabin is not chewing up cycles waiting to show.

If you know what you are doing, the VC views can be removed from the aircraft.cfg file; ALWAYS make a copy of the cfg first!!!!!

If you don't know, leave it alone!
