Anyone using Add-On Sounds with the CS 757?

I'm quite happy with the CS757 but I'm a nut for authentic sound and was thinking about the TSS package, or perhaps another sound pack. Does anyone have any recommendations? Experiences using other sound packs?

I use the TSS sound package for the RR powered 75's that I have.  Best sounding one I have found so far.

I use Devyn Silverstein's PW soundpack on the PW birds.  Sounds pretty good as well.

Nice, I'll have to check out Devyn's. I wish the AVSIM library was still online!

Since AVSIM is down it's hard to find these packs, but I found one set by Emil Serafino. Haven't tried it yet but the description sounds promising. He's on the QualityWings team now, as I understand.

Is there any method to modify the "SELCAL" Crew Sounds, if I change them they are not working anymore. (Every Sound is a SELCAL Chime then).

I bought the TSS sound pack last night and have to say I'm quite pleased. There's a really nasty cockpit ambiance which sounds like an incessant clicking but after tweaking the cfg a bit (and I'll probably add a few other sounds in there) I'm really liking it. Engines sound great. Smiley

All due respect to Emil Serafino, but that sound pack wasn't very good. Poor loops, pops/clicks, bad blending between sounds, and passenger noises. I think he recorded it all from a seat near the wing.

That said there's also a couple clicks/pops in the TSS set, but I think those can be masked with a little tinkering. [/OCD]

I think it's up and running but some links are still dead. I tried a bunch of sound packs including Devyn's and got file missing errors on all of them. There was a forum thread where the AVSIM folks said they were working on it but didn't have an ETA.

You're referring to the FA and Captain announcements, correct? How are you changing them? Are you updating the sound.ini file?

Yes Vector this sounds. I just replaced them by my .wav files (converted mp3s with AUDACITY).

The best sound file for the RR and PW by far is the SYNCHRO-SOFT sets. If you use these you will not be sorry! I have them and they are by far better than TSS.

The two sets are (SYNCHRO-SOFT - PW2037 SOUNDSET FOR B757)

And

(SYNCHRO-SOFT - RB211-535 SOUNDSET)

Give them a try. I think you will be pleased. The PW and RR is the best that SS has made I think Smiley
