speed brake lever not working like it should ?

Hi  Smiley

After todays flight i saw that the speed brake lever not working like it should.  Embarrassed

If i move the lever at the pedelstal i see no action
at the spoilers on the wing. ( was the GE model i used )
Also i can`t bring the levers in arm position - not with the pedalstal
and either with the keyboard Shift # command.

And so after Landing the auto spoilers didn`t came up like it should !

This worked before but with 1.2 i have no action anymore.

Somebody else have this Issue ?
CS can you have a look into that ??  Undecided

cheers

Hi mario

Yes i think everyone is getting this problem

i am using the saitek pro flight range, and i have three levers to my right,
[one being the throttle]

and i use my mixture lever as the speedbreak, now, in all add-ons i can move this to around 25% until the spoilers start coming up,
[the first 25% is used as "arm"] and u can verify that from the B767 pedestal.

now, with the 767 if i move my spoliers by a fraction, they start coming up,

thats the problem, there is no "arm" space

Hope this has helped a few

Alex

I have found that if I pull the speed brake lever back until the Help Text shows 39 (39%?) that the speed brakes will pop up automatically upon touchdown. Of course it would be easier to just press "shift + /" but that's where the fault is to me.

I'm using the 767-300 v1.2 (never tried 1.1) and I have pretty much the same problems:

* When in 2d view, using the mouse to move the speed brake lever has no effect. The lever moves but the spoilers do not. Moving the lever in 3d view or using a key assignment works ok though. Switching back to 2d view however shows that the lever is always stuck in its original position.

* Using the key assignment for "Spoilers (arm)" has no effect - absolutely nothing happens. The lever does not even move.

* Putting the level in the armed position manually, either in 2d view or 3d view, does not work. The lever stays in the armed position but the spoilers then never extract when they should. I even tried setting it to exactly 39% as suggested but that makes no difference.

Any new ideas about this that I can try?

By the way, am I the only one who thinks the effect of the speed brakes is way too small? When cruising and extracting the speed brakes fully, the only thing that happens is a really really tiny change on the VSI. I've seen this mentioned for the 757 but not the 767.

Same here... I was happy when I saw "Speedbrakes system fix" in the release notes for v1.3 but I guess that was something else as none of the issues I mentioned above appear to have been fixed. Did anyone else notice any difference?

I am not having the issue at all.  I can use my axis control on my CH Yoke (THROTTLE CONTROL) or I grab the lever with my mouse in 2D or VC, speed brakes work just fine.  Axis is set via FSUIPC.

I've done some testing with the 767-300 v1.3 and 767-200 v1.3 and have found that the above quote is still true except where I have stated 39 (39%?) I should have stated 29 (29%?). So....If I use 29 (29%) the spoilers auto deploy on landing. I still have to move the lever there manually and also to retract them manually.  Sad

So to some degree they do work.

Ok found a fix for that one  Cool

In the aircraft .cfg file for Version 1.3 go to the
[airplane_geometry] section.

There look for:
spoilerons_available    = 1 must be 1
auto_spoiler_available   = 1 must be 1 - this was setted to 0
in my file so the Autospoiler didn`t work.

In the Sim you have to activate it first in VC with  Shift #
After that go over to 2D Panel open the Pedalstal panel and "voila"
you see the Speedbrake armed  Cool
Hope this helps most users like me - seems somethings mistaken
in the aircraft .cfg file in that section.

Good luck......... Roll Eyes

Thank you so much for that Mario!  You've made my day!  Smiley

That will make it much easier than my method!   Grin
