Hi

Well things have been moving along very quickly on the UHDT front at
McPhat.  We have a team working hard on the last few items of the UHDT kit.  One of our wizzards are working there Harry Potter magic on the Spec maps of the engines.  Thought you'd like to take a look at the P & W engines.

Below is just an example of what the guys are now achieving with the effects from the Spec maps.

Some detail has also been added to the passenger

Now these are all ingame screenshots with no effects added.  It also had no noticable affect on the screenshots artist's PC.

As more progess is made I'll keep you all apprised with any developments.

Dave

Dear Dax ... These shots look really great. I notice the plane isn't very dirty. I happen to like cleaner aircraft but I know dirty is in style now. Will you offer at least some of the liveries in a "clean state" as opposed to most of your offerrings that are beautifull but in dire need of washing.

McPhat could have someone design "Wash-O-Matic" installer that gave the end-user a choice of wear and dirt.  The interface would be a big dial with six different settings, just like on my washing machine.  Grin

Well, if any airplanes should be dirty, they are Captain Sim's.  It goes along with the interior.  But I don't care either way, honestly.  It is going to be the best, no matter what.

I wonder if you can make it change in-flight?
Clean when you depart
Dirty when you arrive
Just like in real life  Grin

I guess that would be asking a bit too much though.

Anyway. It's a wonderful texture Dave. I hope it's not too hard on fps.

Yep the guys have done a great job with all the UHDT work.

No FPS...we have released a few UHDT scheme's already (visit our site for more news about them) and from all the people who have used them have reported almost no effect on FSP.  Through our in house testing we had the same result. Almost little to no loss in FSP in all tested enviroments.

As Dave is enjoying a well deserved rest/vacation at his parents in law's ( Cheesy), I'm taking the liberty to post a shot of our almost finished UHDT wing. Enjoy :
