You need to go via the ACE.

Ace does not seem to recognise this it reports "no description varients file"????
I have replaced the ace that came with the download with Capt sim ealier version which works fine but will not recognise this file or the delta one.
Both  repaints show but anz one without winglets after installing via cfg file and texture file into aircraft folder.
Funny thing was I had it installed first time via above method (not aces) but subsequent reinstalls refuse to show winglets,       "bugger" as they say dununder!
ACES will not recognise the file and reports "no Varients description file"? Cheesy Undecided Roll Eyes

I think you'll find that they both need to be added by extracting the texture.anz and/or texture.anz_W into the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300 and then copy the info in the readme.txt into the aircraft.cfg. This is because these repaints don't come with a descriptions.txt file. You must also make sure you replace the x in [fltsim.x] with the next number after the last [fltsim.x]. i.e. I would replace the [fltsim.x] with [fltsim.15] because the last fltsim entry is [fltsim.14].

Hope this helps

Mark

Yeah I did all that,added texture files to sim obs and copied config text via sys admin notepad as I use win7, saved after putting next numbers in.No problems with any of that but still no winglets!!!
Noticed the BA has winglets and they show okay.
Had ANZ showing when I first installed but it does not show winglets now even after unistalling the 767 and doing reinstalls twice.I cleared all files out of FSX/Capt Sim within FSX and Simobjects rebooted and reinstalled,767 is excellent but still no ANZ winglets???Can't think what would be causing this got to be some clash somewhere.

Hi tesza.

I believe I have found the reason for the problem with why you don't see the winglets.

This is what is provided in the README_W.txt:-

[fltsim.x]
title=CS 767-300 Captain Air New Zealand Winglets
sim=B767-300GE
model=ge5
panel=
sound=GE
texture=anz_W
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=N764A
atc_airline=new zealand
atc_flight_number=767
atc_heavy=1
atc_parking_types=
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Captain Sim"
ui_type="767-300 GE"
ui_variation="Air New Zealand Winglets"
description="767-300 Base Pack v1.0\n(c) 2009 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com\n Repaint: Carl Hudson/Teraphic (c) 2009."
ui_wglts=WL

This it what it should be :-

[fltsim.x]
title=CS 767-300 Captain Air New Zealand Winglets
sim=B767-300GE
model=ge5
panel=
sound=GE
texture=anz_W
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=N764A
atc_airline=new zealand
atc_flight_number=767
atc_heavy=1
atc_parking_types=
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Captain Sim"
ui_type="767-300 GE"
ui_variation="Air New Zealand Winglets"
description="767-300 Base Pack v1.0\n(c) 2009 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com\n Repaint: Carl Hudson/Teraphic (c) 2009."
ui_wglts=1

Hope this helps.

Mark

Hi Guys,

I was the original repainter for the ANZ bird in this thread. I've had a few reports that my repaints for the early release versions of the 767, are not so happy with the changes made by CS in the latest build.

I'll be updating my repaints as time permits and will be updating any install files when I get the time, I've just been really busy with other commitments lately.
