Modified flightdynamics to try

Hi all,

Because I thought that the 757 felt like a lighter aircraft I modified the flightdynamics of the 757-200 PW, 757-200 RR, 757-300 PW and 757-300 RR.
Imho it now more gives a feeling of a heavy het.

Read the Readme file before trying.

Downloadlink is everything from http till rar.

The airfiles respond characteristics where modified.

I downloaded many airfiles from other developers ( 757 ) and compared them.
That whas my starting point.

After that it was trying and adjusting.

When trying you will see that the 757-200 versions respond a bit quicker ; that is because the 200 and 300 versions have the same engines, but the 300 version is longer and heavier.
So the 200 is a bit overpowered and can climb at a steeper angle.

I also took the anti-rocking solution from this forum.

All together I think that with this and the new VC cockpit textures the aircraft is getting better and better.

At the moment I am experimenting with the engine sounds ; I implemented the FSX Sound Cone technique and am working on that.
When moving around the aircraft you will hear that the engines sound different form where you are standing.

I tested your work and is very nice!

Now, just a question: why you did't modify the weight if the plane to make it like the real one?

Look at my last answer in this post to se what im talking about:

That thread I have seen.

But even when the aircraft is empty with little fuel in reality it does not take off like a Cessna.

With larger aircraft the responds are always slower.
And with larger aircraft fully loaded even more.

The larger the mass the slower the responds.
Therefor I corrected it at the base : it's flightdynamics.

Beside that you can also correct the other values like you did to mimic reality even more.    Cool

Very interesting. Did you get the dynamics from 4.2? As I noticed the dynamics changed for the bad when 4.3 came out.

hi
what I did is replace the files and edit the config on my 757 ver 4.3 and after that all instrument (efis) show overlimit parameters

I'm just curious if you guys use ver 4.2 everything is normal?

With 4.2, the dynamics were fine until or when, if engaged, AP was disconnected, then the banking issue occured.

Hi all,

Just got back from holidays.
I have taken a look and took some time to adjust the 757-300 RR airfile.

No more over limts now.

Let me know what you think.
If you find that the airfile now is correct I will start on the 757-200, 757-200RR and 757-300 too.

I notice it still banks to the right a little with the 4.3 issue.

Hello Libretto

Thank you very much for update the airfile right now I'm testing it and no over limits reading show very good!!

I think the flightdynamics is much better then the standard CS model

However I realize on both model 757 and 767 just after take off when my aircraft is light 40% fuel on board and no full pax and I engage AP and FLCH or VNav aircraft climb very rapidly 6000 ft per min
I understand the fact that aircraft have very powerfull engines but I'm not sure if real aircraft climb that fast .
so for now I am using the v/s mode and about 2200/2500 ft p min
and my cost index is 80

I would like to add that this has existed from begining ver 4.x to 4.3 and before I replace airfiles by Libretto

Please let me know guys how is the climbing with VNAV and VLCh in yours machines

best regards
and many thanks for update the airfile libretto
Chris

Make a backup of your .air file and aircraft.cfg file and keep them in a safe place.

Now you can use the modified files.
