Thank you for the 767!!!

I just want to say THANK YOU! for the 767.  This plane has always been my absolute favorite aircraft.  Over the years I have collected FOMs for the 767, QRHs for the 767, and Maintenance Manuals for the 767.  I can't wait for your rendition of the 767, it sure looks better than the other 767 available for flight sim.  Just one question though.  Will you guys model the 767-300ER or just the -300, because I like to take trans-atlantic flights.

Best Regards,
Robert

I'd love to see a good -200 and a -400 model. Hmm, the -400 model would make a very good starting point for a 777...  Wink

Lets hope they test this one properly. I am encouraged, however, by the new 727, my friend has it, and I've had the opportunity to fly it myself, I must say I'm considering a purchase, but will probably wait for a few more service packs!  Roll Eyes

I hope too see CS develop a -400 but I guess that it's too long.

But It's already nice to see a 767-300

Personally having been flying FS since 1998 and seeing and owning most of the addon aircraft, I have always found CS aircraft to be very well made. Yes it took a long time to get the FMS figured out, but up till this aircraft they never made one, and it is a very good one to boot.
CS's expertise has been in the models up till now, and I am thrilled that they took it upon themselves to learn something new for us.
I would love to see the 767-200 and 400 modelled since we already have the 300.

757 at 4.3 is almost perfect for me.  Never had a crash, never had a strange autopilot excursion.  Looks better than anything else out there, except their 727.  I'm always learning something new.  Tonight it was creating unnamed fixes over the Atlantic.

I'm thinking a 767 is a natural since the 757 is similar.  Yes, we do have a very nice 767 available already, but choice is not a bad thing.  Do I need two 767s?  I guess it will depend on what this one offers.  If it is a 767 version of the 757, maybe not, since I can already fly transatlantic with the 757.

If they did something a little different with the 767, it would be nice to see.  Their own 757 is a hard act to follow, it is just that good.

I would love to see a 767-400ER modeled accurately, as the cockpit is more like that of a 777, but with the overhead panel of a -200/-300.

Can't wait for this to be released now! Always wanted a good 767, and I expect this will be worth it.

CS Staff,

This was completely unexpected and, especially, a pleasant surprise.  Cool  I'm glad to have another CS' "Quality Level" (now B767) aircraft to fly in FSX.

Thank you very very much.  Cool

All I can say is this.

If the 767 is as well done as the 757, which I expect it will be, I will definitely be purchasing it.

Keep up the wonderful work Captain Sim!

Oh! Just one more thing. From 1983 (FS2) until I purchased the 757 Pro Pack (FSX) in April 2009, I was a GA only flight sim pilot. Now, I also have the 300 and freighter addons and I'm hooked. Smiley

Just curious - is there any possibility that CS will release addon packs for a -200 and a -400ER? I usually don't fly 6+ hour oceanic hops, instead I'll bring out the 757 or the MD-11 and fly a 2-4 hour hop, however the prospect of what is basically a 777 cockpit in a 767 (-400ER) would probably cause me to buy it.

I can understand where much of the FS community is coming from with "why another 767," especially with the current state of the economy, but I am willing to bet that if you simulate the different variants of the 767, you would be able to win over more customers, especially those who have not tried CS products yet.

I think it is great that CS is making the 767-300.  I look forward to having this new version.
The other is an excellent sim and will always have its place, but is visually a little outdated compared to some of the newer sims out there and compared to Captain Sim's 757 package.
Captain Sim has perfected the 757 with the release of 4.3 and can now easily expand this quality to the 767, which is only fitting since the maker of the previous 767 is claiming to be working on a 757.

I will definately own Captain Sim's 767 as soon as it hits the shelf (which looks like it may be tomorrow according to the website, I hope).

I would love to see Captain Sim release a kick butt 777 and remake his beautiful Legendary 707 for FSX.  I believe these would prove to be "must haves" by every airline lover, but this 767-300 is a logical choice and will also prove to be a big seller with us Captain Sim fans.

I completely agree with you. I myself never fly my 767 anymore, because the 757 and MD-11 are so much more advanced.

However, I know that many people in the FS community wil disagree - especially those who refuse to pay $90 for a top of the line aircraft, and thus have not seen how much better those aircraft are.

Also, as sad as it is, many associate CaptainSim's name with great modeled airplanes that crash or have poor systems simulation. Hopefully the new review on the 757 4.3 and the reviews of the 727 will dispel those thoughts.

I do hope that CS have a successful 767 release. I also hope that the next logical step is a 767-400ER or even better, a 777. Now THAT would make me get my credit card out quickly. Smiley
