Hi all,
here the link: http://www.captainsim.org/tools/757/NC_VC_Lights_v4_1.zip

This mod contain:
-      alternative night light-maps for VC textures (v4.1 - whole VC)
-      2 additional VC flood-light sources
-      3 level backlight for gauges in VC
-      Additional 2D Light-control Panel. (V4.1 - additional buttons on Radar Controls 2D Panel(Shift+4))
-           Simplified Install procedure.

Notes:
-      Not Tested in 2D Cockpit.
-      If light-sources are “blinking” or loaded improperly – turn it off then on.  It is FSX bug.
-      In some conditions night textures can appear in early-n-sunny evening. You are able to turn it on\off via Panel switch on NC Lights panel. It is FSX bug

Here is the PIC-s. Before clicking the links - Please note that pictures are big, and dark(cause it's a night, you know).

The answer to our prayers  Grin

Does this apply to the virtual cabin? Although the cabin was ok with lighting?

Thanks so much I look forward to it's release! Cheesy

Well for cryin' out loud, this makes this airplane darn near perfect.  CS folks should be on this like a duck on a junebug.  This makes a big difference to me.

I've got myself a new widescreen desktop, if nothing else  Cheesy

2 all: Yes, I'd like to share this mod when it's done. Already sent tiket to CS support asking for some help\clarification, just  to avoid braking the CS's Copyrights.

Space shuttle No. The pax-cabin lightmaps will remains intake.
Have no ideas what's happining in pax-cabin, anyway, - it's attendants job to sort out the screaming cargo. Smiley

cyberstudio I've keep overhead panel lighting intake. CS's one is cool enough.
Please see this post - think it will help. http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1245096833

Hope so. But there a lot of files involved - Cfg-s, Effects, Textures, Lightmaps, gauges xml-s and so on, plus some preparations have to be done before. So there no way just to post "How-to guide".
Only way a see - the bunch of files to download. I'm not sure that CS will agree if I do so.

But anyway - there still a lot of things to do and figure-out.
Be patient, but stay tuned! Smiley

At least one hopes this inspires CS to realize that this problem can be fixed.  If not, you have a future in selling "enhanced cockpit lighting."

First post updated. Gauge's backlight feature pic added.

How it is in real 757- there is only 2-level of backlight or more?

Hi!

Maybe you can tune the fuel indicator gauge in the VC? just that, so we can see the numbers. At least on my system i can't see those numbers at night.

PD: Your mod can be tuned to look like this?

As I've mentioned earlier - please check this topic http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1245096833
I've also add the digits replacement "how-to" to the first post there.
Here is two pics with both mods on it :

PD: This photo looks too overbrighten for me. In any case - you'll hurt your eyes during night flight in FSX if I do so. Smiley
Anyway - I'm goin to create (already done, to be honest, but still required for some tuning) two separated flood-light effects. And user will be able to use the lights separately or together - 4-level lighting on the whole.
More to say - it will be quite easy to adjust the color and intensity of each lightsource.

Thanx for feedback Smiley
