707 TCE Has a Virus??

After having the 707 on my system for quite some time, last night my antivirus program detected a Trojan in the 707 TCE program Undecided Shortly after I turned on my pc, the McAfee antivirus indicated a "Generic dx!CZ" file in the TCE and deleted the TCE executable. No, I don't download and install questionable programs. As far as I know, my pc has been clean as a whistle. And, yes, I purchased this software LONG ago from here. I can still access the aircraft in FS9 without issues. just can't use the TCE for repaints now. Sad

I had the same problem, but i found a solution. It's a McAfee false detection. Follow these steps.

1- Uninstall COMPLETLY Legendary 707 and clean your registry with this method. Please be careful and do it on your own risk!

How to clean Registry:
a. Uninstall the product
b. Go to Start> Run. Type: regedit, click OK.
c. Find the product entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CaptainSim\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CaptainSim\Legendary707
Make sure you are going to delete correct folder!
d. Delete the product entry folder.
e. Restart your computer.

2- Put off McAfee.

3- Reinstall Legendary 707.

4- Put all your favorites downloaded and saved liveries in the variant folder of Legendary 707.

5- Activate the TCE and install your liveries within McAfee off.

6- Restart your computer, make sure that McAfee is on, start MSFS and enjoy!

You can download as many liveries you wish with McAfee on, but when you want to install it with the TCE, don't forget, put off McAfee before and put it on after the TCE installation. This way, you will by-pass McAfee. If you don't do this, at the time you click on the TCE icon, McAfee will do his job and will uninstall the TCE.

As always, never go on Internet or download liveries within McAfee off. Wink
