It looks good.

Nice job.

Russ

Many may fly and some are rewarded&&handsomely, but the wings of gold of a&&United States Naval Aviator mean more&&than flying. It is dearly bought, requires &&sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

I've uploaded an update yesterday, correcting several errors, it looks a lot more like the real one now!!
it can be found on avsim under the filename 'ch-07greyv2.zip' or on the CS server.

Thanks for your kind comment nath.
I plan to stick to Belgian repaints for a while,
we only had 12 C-130's (now only 10 left)
but they were seen in quite a few liveries and special paint jobs...
so I'll know what to do...

you're welcome Lenny,
but I'm afraid the 60 years 15th wing isn't coming very soon,
I tried to start it this week, but I just don't have enough high res pictures of both sides of the tail.
I'll keep looking and trying...

well... ask the source Wink -> http://www.mil.be/aircomp/units/index.asp?LAN=en&ID=645 , I can tell you, the best PR in the Belgian Air Component.

grtz,

Lenny

Also, an small tip, use "ui_manufacturer=Lockheed" instead of Lockheed Martin, just to keep it in the family  Wink

Thanks for the link and the tip Lenny,
but I'm afraid my work on repainting came crashing down, when my laptop stopped working at all. Undecided
I have a new one now, but I just yesterday reinstalled fsx, and today I will reinstall my CS products.
I don't have photoshop yet, and my source files (pictures and foremost the PSD's with completed/semi completed  textures) are also lost.
An update for my 'paris' livery was just ready, and a 4th livery was within half an hour from completion... maybe I can recover them...
But maybe I'll wait for the tutorials Dax said he would be making, to improve the quality of my repaints...
we'll see I think. I can't promise anything at this time.

Hey Tyrion,

downloaded the paints of CH-07 and CH-04.
Trying to load them in ACE: JPEG #52 error???

Strange....

Grtz,

Stef.

PS: Still not flying with my beloved Herc in FSX (see post "Memory Problems")  Cry

Strange...
I just tried them again, and they're working fine on my computer.
So unfortunately, I have not a clue as what can be the cause of the problem.
Are other repaints working?

Must be doing something wrong.

I have the JPEG error #52 with every livery.
I even deleted the thumbnail.jpeg out of the folder in "variants, but it won't work.

Do I have to rename some files before putting them in the "variants"-folder?

Or...

do i have to put the texture.cfg file in the texture folder of Mfsx??

Or...

will the ACE and "variants" folder do the trick all-in-one?

(some other liveries i downloaded had some of these tweaks in them...)
