Hey Guys I just bought all 3 packs for the C-130 and installed them all, but when I go to click on the plane it come up with the guage acceptence screen and I click yes but once the 2nd  little screen pops up the game crashes..Don't know what is going on. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the planes and same thing happens. If I cant get this fixed I want a refund. 80 some dollars is a lot to pay for something not working right. This is the first payware I've bought that has given me trouble. I have about 400 planes in my game and none make my game crash please help. thanks

When you say the game crashes are you getting a BSOD and if so is this displayed? File CTAUD2K.SYS

Hi,
I experienced almost same problem. Seems to be known bug.
See CS Knowledge Base  (Search for KB# 674):

Q: I have crash to desktop when loading the C-130 X-perience in FSX.

A: Thank you for your report. The issue is on the list for the next upgrade, and is forwarded to our development team. We will do our best to address the issue in the next upgrade.

Even though it's in the KB, make sure you log a ticket with CS for your CTD, or they won't count it as a problem and may not look at it as a result.

Are CS upgrades free or do they charge for them?

Ok Guys I have logged it with a ticket. I hope that you guys can come out with the a fix for this soon. I spent good money on something I cant use and I hope that the next upgrade that has the fix if free to people like myself who cant use this download. Please keep us informed as to when this fix comes out. Thankyou.....It seems like it has to do with the gauges being loaded into the game. I only get to the 2nd little window and bang game crashes and system reboots...never had that happen before on any PC game I've ever owned..Thanks

PS no BSOD, just game locks up after second little window pops up for gauges and system reboots...

Hey,

as far as I know, Captain sim provides the service packs,
if they're ready, for free to existing users of that particular product...

Ok Guys,
I fixed my problem. I re-read the fix that was posted for getting the blue screen and once I deleted the sound gauge file from my gauge folder everything works now....Thanks to sjaak for jogging my memory about that fix...
Cheers

System Crash

After many months of consideration I finally purchased CS-C130 x-perience Pro Pak. Loading it into MSFSX was completely effortless. However, after starting MSFSX and selecting CS-C130 MSFSX crashes and I am back to Windows Vista desktop, such magic. I have removed and installed CS-C130 x-perience several times, but with the same results as described above. I have in the past purchased several other aircraft for MSFSX and have been quite satisfied as they worked as advertised right out of the box. I may not be the smartest carrot in the cabbage patch but if this problem or anything similiar was known or discovered then this is a blatant issue with CS-C130 x-p. How did it get through the beta testing process without being discovered? The logical thing to do would be to fix it before you sell it. Not sell it then attempt to fix it. Is there a service pack update being addressed to solve this or any discovered issues? This month, this summer, this fall, next year? I did not experience any problems when I purchased CS-C130 for FS2004. In the intrim I am left with a superbly designed aircraft that is sitting in my hanger completly usless for $86.90. I am hoping for a reply and a solution.

I had been running with my onboard Realtek HD audio and having some sound issues with the C-130 as well as other vendor's aircraft.  The C-130 loaded fine but just had some sound issues.

In search of a solution for one of the other a/c over the weekend, I remembered I had a left over Creative Audigy 2 ZS from my previous computer so I thought I'd try it.  I'm running XP Pro and it found the drivers for the card during the new hardware discovery routine BUT then the C-130 crashed with a BSOD when I tried to load it.  This wasn't happening with any other a/c.  Argh... but there's good news.

I searched the Creative site and found newer drivers then the ones Windows loaded; I'm now running 6.0.1.1361 date June 27, 2008.  Those fixed the C-130's problem and it runs fine now.   Don't know if it'll help but thought I'd pass the info along.

Hi all. I have bought c-130 Xperience, but since now the only thing I have experienced is a crash to desktop everytime I try to fly one the c-130s as Marine1.

I have tried unistalling and installing again both the game and the addon, upgrading the drivers of video and sound cards, deleting the file in the gauges folder wothout succes.

Can someone help me ?

I downloaded C130 X and attempted to load the aircraft in FSX as soon as I selected any variant of the aircraft my system kept crashing to the dreaded blue screen before restarting. The fix in the end is simple remove the following file"c130.sound.GAU" from the gauges file of FSX and the game runs perfectly!
