I have the same experience as elyab. I have moved the v4.4 dll out of the Modules-map and placed the v4.3 dll in it. Till now everything works fine. Cheesy

Has this product been updated yet to work with 4.4?

What I find is this:  Pressing "Z" or your assigned AP Disengage button only disengages the L/C/R command switch.  Actually pressing the AP Disengage bar on the MCP will never cause the problem, but simply pressing the FS AP Disengage soft key/button always will cause the problem.

FSUIPC 4.4... no complaints, fly it like a boeing Smiley

I had the problem with pressing Z or manually clicking the bar while using FSUIPIC 4.4.  The only work around is to pause the sim for about 5 seconds, or revert to FSUIPC 4.3

CS has confirmed to me in a ticket that another SP for 4.X 757 is "due soon".

Since I don't experience the AP bug when using ONLY the AP Disengage bar (rather than Z or a mapped AP Disconnect soft button), I have to wonder what differs in our systems.

I do get the issue if I *ever* use that button, but if I use the panel for engage and disengage, never have the problem.

Vista 32 - no problem, but after moving to 64 system I have no manual control for 10-15 seconds. After installing 4.3 version the A/P disconnecting issue is fixed.

Well, I made a liar out of myself just last night.

I had an instance where I was forced to disengage my AP on final approach, and used the AP Disengage bar from the panel.  Then the plane banked left and nosedived to the ground.  Shocked

If it happens again, I will try the older FSUIPC and hopefully that corrects the issue.

you have just to replace dll instead of reinstalling the FSUIPC. I just got the file from the mentioned link and replaced dll by 4.3 version. Yesterday I checked few times AP within different flights. And it is OK so far. Do you know that the Flight Simulator is the dancing around it instead of using this. Grin

Bugs or Lack of Knowledge

Hello!

Just bought this new plane, think it's great an all, myriad of buttons, myriad of ways to mess up and crash into a large mountain! So good fun all round.

Having figured out, almost, the complexities of the autopilot (why does it have three?) I can get the plane to hold altitude, headings, and turn on command, etc. The only issue is releasing the autopilot.

It takes about 10-15 seconds to give me back control of the plane which, if that's realistic, seems to be really rather dangerous!

I've uninstalled and re-installed, same issue. I have all the variants of the plane (cargo, 300) and they all behave the same.

Another issue is the right yaw damper "inop" light always stays on but the lane flies as normal.

thanks for any help, info!

Smiley

Hi,

That seems to be an issue with fsuipc.dll that comes with 4.2, see the thread "No manual control when AP is disconnected-FIX" down below.

There's a link in the referenced article on downloading 4.3 version of FSUIPC from a website - you have to read the entire post.  I think it's in the middle of page 2 or 3.

First of all I fixed the AP problem by changing .dll but in a few days it appears again. I did the same changing with the positive result. And what I found that the size of the new .dll file was 209 kb. And old .dll file (not working file) was around 259 kb. Probably it's happened because of some additional programs or online flight connections involved. Who is flying online? Can you check this?

I fly online, but only on FSHost servers, not GameSpy.

No problems related to FSHost.

TiggerToo, on your Yaw Damper question - make sure you have your IRS systems initialized, make sure also that all your hydraulic pumps are commanded on and all pressure warnings are extinguished.

As for "why 3", well, why not?  Two are better than 1, and 3 are better than two.  The real reason?  Autoland.  You need to have at least 2 AP's online to have Autoland functional- so the third redundant system allows you to still get autoland if you have an AP system fail.

At least that's how I understand it.  Wink
