Ok lets try and get them installed.

This message usually appears under three circumstances.

1. The version of Captain Sim's 757 doesn't match the version of the ACE utility

Fix this by either downloading and installing the latest version of the ACE utility or the latest version of the 757 from the CS website

2. The repaint you are trying to install is not the correct 757 model.

Basically it is trying to install a 757 Freighter repaint when you do not have the 757 freighter expansion installed first.

3. The ACE utility can not locate the "description" file

When pointing the ACE utility to the unzipped repaint is needs to look at the main folder with the bmp/DDS files in.  When selecting the file make sure it is the last one in the unzipped repaint

I hope this help Sleffer?

Let me know how you get on.

Dax

Matt,

ACE is included with the plane, and the latest version is in the newest release (which is 4.2 at the moment).  You can access ACE two ways, either in your start-programs-captain sim 757 -ACE, or inside FSX under Add-Ons-CaptainSim 757-ACE.

If you have the latest SP version installed, you should have the latest ACE.

That is really weird. There is no captain sim 757 under my FSX add ons section in FSX. . . And I have the latest version of the product. . . Is there anything you recommend?

ACE is also available under Start->Programs->Captain Sim...

You have ProPack, right?

I think ACE was an add-on block with the old block system.  You may want to open a ticket with CS to find out what your options are at this point to obtain it.

Hey, I don't know if this helps, but there is no varients folder either. . . And ACE still won't open. Maybe that'll help to find the problem!

THanks, Matt
