757 FSX under VISTA 64 bit

Hi community !
I“ve some problems with my new 757FSX4.1 downloaded 3 days before.
My system is FSX under Vista Business 64 bit.
UAC is off, FSX-folder is fully allowed.
When I programm my FMC at Heathrow for example, there“s offered
no SID, STAR and transition.
When I choose a runway, it does not appear as first leg of my route.
Arrival runways sometimes appears correctly as RW25L for example,
but soemtimes as I25L or so.
Is this normal ?
IRS is aligned before programming and all other systems also work.
When I start my climb, the constraints of altitude are OK, but the
757 don“t keep the programmed VNAV-speeds during climb and
decend.
I programmed 300 Knots for climb and 300 Knots for decent, but the
plane always flies with overspeed.
When I disconnect VNAV, it is a little bit better.
My plane intercepts the LOC, but does not approach when clicking
APP after intercepting the LOC.
I have entered ILS frequency in manual mode and it is also active
in my FMC.
Does anybody knows more ??
Kind regards.....Markus

Have you entered the touchdown zone altitude on the MCP?
Also, I have Vista 64 and FSX and do not have the problems you
describe. However when flying from KLAX (Los Angeles) to KLAS (Las Vegas) Via the OSHNN3.DAG.CLARR2.RW25R Entering the Flaps on the FMC Takeoff Ref Page will crash the sim.

Dear Neal,  thanks a lot for your help.
Yes, I did.
On the tool side of my ACE, I don“t have the option to check for updates. The three planes do not appear.
On the fleet page I can“t choose VC, cabin and wing view - only
winglets.
In the meantime (yesterday) I had more success with a landing when entering ILS frequency and course in manual mode.
The VNAV speeds only work when I enter them in mach speed, but not in knots.
Thanks again and kind regards....Markus

Try to re-download and install the packs. I had a problem with the ACE untill I found the appropriate folder for FSX. C:\Program Files (X86)\Microsoft Games\FSX... Something like that. The Update feature is not working, or was not the last time I checked.

as to the overspeed problem,
Maxiumum altitude for flap extension is FL200, if you are decending with flaps, be sure not to exceed the flap speed rating. you can see the speeds above the flap position dial, also speed is restricted to 250kts below 10000. I try to decend at 240kts below 10000, and about 315 above. Your ascent should be V2 +20, although the 757 Manual says to advance the throttle to 1.10 EPR, then push the EPR Switch.

OK, thanks a lot, I did it already twice, but a third time will follow.
My folder is D:\FSX.
According to some information from VISTA-users which wrote that it is
better to use a short folder for FSX.
A lot of folders are also created under C when installing addons under my
D - patch.
Do you think this will cause my problems ?
Greetings....Markus

I restricted the speed in FMC at FL10 to 240/250 knots, but the
FMC does not follow it. When I change the decending speed in FMC
(only in mach will work!), than it works, but this is not the solution.
If I enter 300 knots, it will not work - if I enter 0,40 mach, the plane
decelerates !
OK, I“ll try it also with your help of EPR-switch !
Thanks a lot !

Yes, not having the patch install to the correct folder is not good. I always use the default installs for all programs to avoid problems when patching or updating.
As for the mach issue, I don't know if this will help, but try hitting the Change Over button (C/O) on the MCP and see if that helps.

With the ACE utility not wanting to run, in Vista just because you disable the ever annoying UAC, you still need to run the program in administrator mode. I belive it requires elevated permissions, and thats what I do. I do not have UAC disabled on my machine.

Sorry if this is a stupid question or you have answered it before, is your IRS alligned at the airport? I have a 737 that is very touchy about that. You even have to give the IRS a starting position in the FMC before it will sucessfully align.

Also check your FSX settings and see if something looks amiss in your default units/ Measurements category.

Hi Neal, thanks again for your kind help !
I think I will reinstall Windows XP to have less problems with
all of my addons.
Vist Business is causing too much problems with permissions
and so on.
I will inform you if my FSX will work better after that !
Greetings...Markus

Wierd.
I fixed most of my CDU crash problems by reinstalling the block f program and then installing the sp4.1 . I think that the problem came when I used Terry Yingling's FS Database upgrade.

The airplane will do a CATIII Autoland op, but don't do it in really turbulent weather. my plane was bouncing all over.
