Imported plane

Okay I'm not sure if this is something I am suppose to be able to do or not....I took a certain plane from CFS2 and tried to import it into FS9. It works...kinda. It's in the game and it flies but has some major problems. First, the landing gear is not visible and the control surfaces don't move. Second, it seems like the plane defaults to some little prop engine and sound (this plane is a jet). It sounds like a little Cessna and has very little power as it can barely reach 200 knots. So, my questions of course are: why doesn't my gear show up and controls move, and what file determines which engine and sounds the aircraft uses?

Hi Brettt777.
First of all, importing the aircraft from cfs2,will cause a few problems,as CFS2 aircraft are not to the same standard as FS9 aircraft, they can be put into fs2002,as for the panel,it has defaulted to the cessna because you did not put the aircrafts sounds and gauges into fs9,these aircraft when imported from cfs2 into fs9,will not have any nose/tail wheel steering, undercarrage depending on how the aircraft was made, they will sometimes show,or not show, and control surfaces will be affected.
The aircraft for CFS2 where made with an earlier version of GMAX,as long as you except that it wont be up to the same standard, then thats fine, the other alternative, will be to do a seach for the same type of aircraft, but which has been made for FS9.
regards alan.  Cool
