Adding cargo weight question (Read 2857 times)

	Hi. I`ve noticed in ACE that you can enter a ULD weight in the box and then multiply it by using the arrows to load / unload. My question is....... What should this value be? I`ve looked at http://baworldcargo.com/configs/BAWCconfigurations.pdf and found this statement................... The 757 is narrow-bodied, short to medium range aircraft which can carry approximately 5 tonnes of cargo together with a full passenger load. The aircraft has two underfloor holds consisting of five compartments. The forward hold (compartments 1 & 2) is fitted with a three-bin sled installation which is extendable from about 20� behind the forward hold door to the rear of the hold. The rear hold is divided into two sections. The forward section (compartments 3 & 4) is fitted with a two-bin sled installation and the rear section (compartment 5) is a bulk compartment. Cargo and mail are loose loaded on this aircraft, which does not carry Unit Load Devices. As you can see this is NOT how ACE v.2 shows loading. Can this be corrected? Cheers Eddie

	Eddie, Your quote is for a passanger model, ULDs are not simulated for the Captain Sim passenger models. �They are how ever for the freighter models and the default weights in the ACE are a good average to use. 	Hi Eddie, I Guess I misunderstood your question. The ULDs on the passenger part of the ACE, as I understand it, are to make the loading of your hold cargo and bagage simpler. If you set each ULD to about 1000lbs or 500kg, you should be able to load all 9 and stay under the 5 ton mark by about 1/2 a ton give or take. I hope this is of some help and sorry for misunderstanding your first question.

	No problem mate. Just the document I found says the 757 dosnt have 9 bays. Am I just being picky? Eddie

I think CS did the cargo this way to make it easier on the average virtual pilot. Loading the cargo bays on a real aircraft is almost a science by itself.
