When you click on CLB1 or CLB2 the thrust (EPR) should decrease

Here it works fine!

How exactly do you manage this?

During preflight preparation you have to select "2" (TO-2) on the rating panel. After take off when you passing the acceleration hight you have to select VNAV at the MCP and the thrust will set to climb-thrust 2 in this case.

Friendly regards,

Mika

Do the take off in this way. When passing 400ft AGL, selcet LNAV (or HDG sel. depends on situation), when passing 1000ft AGL (standard) select VNAV. Now the TO-Power will change to CLB-power. When the aircraft has a lower weight you can preselect TO-1 or TO2 (if the weight is very low) in the way I have wriiten above. Now the TO-Thrust will reduce to the preselected climb-modus (CLB1 or CLB2) when you selecting VNAV.

Everything clear?

here are the interesting lines from the manual part 2 page 66

Takeoff:
- TO - maximum rated takeoff thrust
- TO 1 - maximum rated takeoff thrust, climb one preselected
- TO 2 - maximum rated takeoff thrust, climb two preselected

or if you use a assumed temprature

Assumed Temperature Takeoff:
- D-TO - assumed temperature derated takeoff thrust
- D-TO 1 - assumed temperature derated takeoff thrust, climb one preselected
- D-TO 2 - assumed temperature derated takeoff thrust, climb two preselected

Sometimes it helps to take a look in the manuals Wink

Friendly regards,

Mika
