F-104 Cold Dark Startup

Hello,
I have a problem with the F-104 startup sequence. When I do a startup according to the manual everthing works fine except my comm (and Nav ?!) system did not work. Generators are switched on.

When I choose another plane after that e.g. a Cessna I can see the avionics switch is still OFF.

Did I miss something in the startup sequence ??

Greetings Sven

Please make sure the electric power supply is ON fully in accordance with the Manual.

Hello,
do you mean the external power supply ? Or do you mean the generator switches ? they are both online and all lights at the Annunciator Panel are off, except "Autopilot Disengaged".
I did the procedure according to "Manual2.pdf" page 5.
1. ext pwr on
2. engine start switches > engine ist starting up
3. check generator 1 and 2 are on > all instuments come alive
4. ext pwr off

Did not find anything like "electric power supply".....did I really missed something ?

Greetings Sven

Hello,
I'm sorry, did not work also.
Maybe it is the saved "cold and dark" status I created saving a aircraft-status from a "cold and dark" cessna.

A workaround is another saved aircraft-status with engine/pwr OFF but avionics ON.

It seems that the avionics OFF status is something like an undefined status that doesn't work for the F-104.

Anyway, a great plane and thanks for reply.

Greetings from the 104G homeland  Wink

Sven
