Problem with the attitude indicator

Hello guys,

I bought the C-130 from Captain Sim a few days ago and I have to say it looks really good. However I have encountered a problem with the attitude indicator. There is a little red flag to the left of the attitude indicator that just won't go away!

Is that supposed to be like that or did I do something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Sebastian

Hi,

I think this is the ILS glideslope needle. Try an ILS approach and see if it goes away.

BTW, some Hercs have a fast/slow indicator there (speed dev from a bug on the ASI) but that's not in this particular C-130 (very few real planes have it).

Hey,

thanks for the tip, but that little red flag won't go away whatever I do. I just noticed that the IAS hold autopilot isn't working either!

On your att ind the left hand red flag will go away, when glideslope is captured, the top red flag is your vor lock flag, you need to be tuned into your airport glideslope freq, for the selected runway, for these to work.
as for your autopilot ias hold,if i remember correctly, this is non functional,as it is with many aircraft of this era,and type of autopilot used.

Alan,

I think that on the CS C-130 it is functional though. I have never actually tried it (the whole concept of speed hold on this kind of AP seems silly to me) but I think I remember reading in the documentation somewhere that you need to "grab" and rotate a small arrow-shaped slider to the IAS position.

Maybe someone that has actually tried it can enlighten us...

I hope you can understand my my poor english:
The C-130 autopilot in the CS aircraft can hold altitude or IAS, but no both at a time. You have to switch the samll arrow on the autopilot panel, thet it points IAS and then activate by pushing the button. The aircraft will hold IAS by changing the pitch.
