Problem with frame rates

Hello,

I have you're c130 and c130j expansion models installed,
I am thrilled to bits with them but something strange is going on......

I had installed the aircraft and it had worked fine for some time, however... i had not flown it in 2 weeks up until today when i took it out for a flight, when i took it out the Frame-rates had dramatically dropped but in a strange way...... it was going from 70 FPS to 19 FPS in a second, this made it very jerky and spoiled the experience completely, I restarted my PC and FS but no joy, I even re-intalled the 2 models but the problem still persists???

Could you help me here??

The same happen to me.

In the external view in certain angle, what it seems to be correlated with the sun, it produces a loss to me in fps. It can be something related to the reflections.

When I finds a systematic procedure I put it in the forum.

Kindly

Hi Buff and Carlos,

Try and limit the fps in your control panel 20 - 25 fps, I allready hear you squeeling   Grin but trust me when limiting the fps to 20 - 25 max it frees up much needed resources and your Herc will be much nicer to fly and not that jerky due to the frames that eat up all resources to build up, just put a cap on it and you'll notice the improvement.

Another not to be disregarded thing is it also depends very much on the Videocard you are using and what settings you have set for it.

I know that nVidia with the latest drivers you have an option for preselected setting for fs9 and fsX this will save you a lot of time and aggravation to get all set and tweaked.

Also of importance is the size and type of your monitor and at wich resolution you run it.

Maybe if you gents can add those data We could help you better to maximise the settings and give you even more pleasure flying the Herc Wink

with kindest regards
fled
