Engine start not working

What I do is start with default C172 and shut it down. Mixture off, avionics off, master off and mags off. Then select the C130 from the menu. So I have a cold and dark C130. I go through all the checklists and everything is fine upto where I need to push the start button for the engine. In 2D panel place my mouse on the button and press on it, it lights up but the engine never spools up and nothing is happening on the instruments. In virtual cockpit mode if I click on it the button depress and I hear a constant clicking noise but again, nothing spools up and nothing on the instruments.

Now here is where it gets weird!

If I assign a button to 'toggle starter 1 - 4' in FSUIPC and press that button it works, but then it works too well. Even from a cold and dark cockpit (GTA not running, battery off) and I press that button the engine will spool up AND the engine lights up if I put the condition lever in RUN mode!!!!

The line for see_self=1 in my fs9.cfg is there so I'm a bit stumped at the moment. Anyone that knows what is wrong here?

Just start the C130 from ACE with the cold & dark option set.

Or, start the C130 without loading the C172 first, and then just shut it down and start it back up.

Started from ACE with same result. Still, GTC is up and running, no sound but on speed light is on. Pressure is 35psi. Still if I click on the start button nothing happens, nothing spool up or start.

Sorry, I know it is silly... but where can I set option in ACE to make C-130 load cold&dark?

Hi,

I hads a similiar problem but was using CH yoke. I had mixture on yoke shutoff and tried starting as per the checklist but it would not start. Try the CH mixture full rich then use the CS controls for start.
