Another disappointment about FS-X is that Microsoft has eliminated our ability to adjust the outside forward view up or down in the 2-D mode.  This feature is very important for flying approaches and being able to see the runway.

I have to respecfully disagree with GOZR.  In my experience, I have more trouble with landing with VC views than 2D views.  Most of the time the instruments that you need to monitor, are not visible, and if you zoom to get them, then you can't see the runway. Also, using the POV switch will many times cause you to move off the flight path and you have a hard time restabalizing the aircraft on the glide path

I have to agree with LuminAggie .   The 3-D view is nice eye-candy for looking around, but the 2-D view is essential for serious instrument flying. All of the best FS-9 add-on programs focus on accurate and expanded 2-D instrument panel presentations.

I agree with 2D especially on landing, unless, you have TH2GO from Matrox.
Now were talking progress. It's great.

2D view is very important for landing. Most add-ons developers will put more effort in a good 2D view than a 3D view. I hope Microsoft will release an update and put back the ability to change view in 2D.
