Yes.  There is a very small sweetspot on the heading select knob (SEL), that you "push" to activate it.  If you can't find it, just use the keyboard shortcut for heading hold, usualy ctrl-h.  The hdg light will go out, and the plane will track your heading with either manual input or FSNavigator (or whatever you use).
