Hi guys , anyone knew how to bring up the VC pop up panels eg, LSGI ?
I learned that this can only be done in VC mode. I need this to star the engines

1) The LGSI buttons aren't on a pop-up panel, you have to maneuver your view until you see them.

2) The LGSI isn't necesscary to start in any case, IIRC.

LSGI are just below the throttles/ Engine condition levers on the right hand side of the center pedestal.

The LSGI reduces engine wear so whilst not essential is good real world practice.
Also recommended to put a couple of engines into LSGI whilst taxiing.
They pop out when you throttle up so no worries if you forget them whilst taking off.

Hey kctanker.

you have lots to read, first of all... and I mean the manuals...

then, look around your cockpit (default is the hat switch in your joystick), familiarize yourself with the surroundings, find the panels and switches you need to use. This will take you a bit of time and getting used to. For example, the Overhead Panels, are a bit hard to see / use in the VC.

I love flying the VC, and a good add-on would be the Track-IR. Gives you hands-free control of your line of sight and increases your situational awareness, especially, lets say, turning Final.

my manual did not tell me how to move around the cockpit area, is there any short cut method to move around the cp and the cargo area?

Hi KCTanker.

To move around the cockpit you will need a tool like active camera. This can be downloaded from either www.avsim.com or www.flightsim.com

There are other freeware alternatives as well but I can never remember there names.

Ctrl + either enter or backspace

Ctrl + shift and either enter or backspace

Shift + either enter or backspace

Those combinations will move your viewpoint around in the VC.

To move freely around the interior of any MSFS aircraft you do need a tool like active camera.

Hi all,

the freeware view utility is called F1View - you can grab it at the Flight1 website.

The engines are actually started with the LSGI buttons engaged and the engine is up-shifted to normal speed after a stable start.
