Unfortunatly I am strapped for room. My computer is stuck in a small closet space. I use to use an old Thrustmaster F16 TQS. Throttle, stick and yolk (Older version of the new Cougar stick system).
I am now using a Saitek X45. Nice and simple to use but after using a CH yolk I long for the more realistic controls. The only problem is I found the CH to be a bit flimsy but that's just me I think. Aircraft engineer. Hands built to drive in nails and screws.
I have contemplated making a my own using instructions I found on flightsim.com. Just need an old mouse and a few bits and pieces. I could even get hold of an old Herc Yolk from a friend at Lyneham.

Hi,

I use a Thrustmaster HOTAS stick-throttle. It is an exceptional unit, very precise and extremely configurable. It cames with an entire... programming language that  enables someone with some programming skill to perform miracles. For example you can dynamicaly reconfigure axes centering and sensitivity so it is possible for instance to make the aircraft nose "heavy" when full flaps are selected and aircraft responce sluggish as in reality.
I really can't recomend them enough - for me it is the best joystick setup on the market by a very very large margin.

Ah, they also come with a price tag to reflect that quality...

cool thanks for the replys.  I am just debating what to do.  I am just using a logitech force feedback joystick and to me its just not hard enough to fly.
