Engine starting sequence

For the 20 plus years I spent in the USAF the Herk start sequence was 3421, but in the just released tutorial it's 1234.  The recommended download checklist says 3421, but the CS manual shows 1234.  What are those presently flying the real Herk using ?

On RAF Herc's it was alway 3412. It never changed in all the time I was on RAF C-130's.

Dax, I assume you mean 3421 ?  I too have a flight manual that shows 3421....wonder where CS and others got the notion it's 1234 ?  I think the CS manual and the new tutorial need to be changed to reflect reality.

Sorry. Fat fingers. Too much Christmas pud already!!!! 3421.

Has anyone tried a quick start yet? It's one thing I haven't tried yet.
No 3 running and in high power then turn 4 to ignition then then 2 & 1 together.

We also use to use a quick start, power off switch position list. Once I had completed the flight servicing we would close the oil coolers and the GTS door. Power off then set a load of switches to on, auto or open position. It was the quickest way to start our tankers on QRA.

I've just updated the tutorial with the new start sequence. Check it out:

http://www.fsstation.com/tutorials/legendaryc130.html

Are there any other systems that need update because of that change?

Thanks a lot!

Honestly it doesn't really matter.  We've started them 1234, 4321, but usually it's 3421.  It does hurt anything to do it differently periodically.
