The following Auto Pilot switches do not operate in the auto pilot panel view, while in 2D view. Track switch, pitch and height lock. (SP1 installed). Functions O.K. when opened in VC.

I had this problem for a while and it got worse as I could get the autopilot to operate correctly by reloading the aircraft, but it would turn off in a few minutes.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the C-130 and the problem disappeared.

Well just redownloaded and re installed the C-130. I had hoped after this long the auto pilot problem would be fixed. It still turns off during the flight. I have to reload the plane to get it working.

Anyone know of a fix?

If it is what I think it is, you need to asign a key in FS9 to the Avionics. Toggle the selected key and all should work fine.
