Title: DXGI device hung error - nothing helps it
Post by cessna_xls on Mar 16th, 2024 at 3:15am
Hey guys,

I see this is a common problem. I figured if I cranked down the graphics settings that would help. I have a 4GB dedicated Nvidia card with a 32GB RAM processor. The machine runs MSFS 2020 predominantly well, which is great, but unfortunately as we all know, the P3D CS 767 rendition is pretty much the only 767 I want to fly right now, at least till CS majorly upgrades the MSFS version.

Soapbox aside... I'm left to my own devices to use P3D V5 and the CS 767 II for that sim. I used to have this issue on every flight, I lowered my graphics, and it still occurred. I typically run my sim in fullscreen mode, so I tried window mode and that seemed to put an end to the crashes. But as of tonight, I was doing another flight with it, and it crashed at about 17,000 during the climbout. Of course, P3D is still running enough that I'm able to save the flight and panel state, so I gave that a shot and restarted the sim, which crashed... I repeated the process repeated about a dozen times before I gave up. I checked VRAM on the last crash and it was hanging around 1.5/4GB the entire time.

What could the solution be?
