The APU start up will not work after MSFS update. Have started APU up many times , now today (12/03/23) MSFS update this morning , and now no go. Will not start with proper sequence. :'(

I checked - it works in MSFS 1.35.21.0 with my current state of A/C systems. Anyway, it will work in an upcoming update.

I bought the latest version yesterday, and I have the latest version of the sim.  I cannot start the APU.  It tries to start, then stops...

1. fuel pumps - on
2. Ignition switch - on
3. APU Start Switch - Start (hold 5 seconds) Run...

Any ideas?

Sometimes i had same Problem when i start MSFS2020.
Then go back to Main-Screen and try again....now it should be work...

Thanks Rudolf.  The APU will only start if I start it right after I switch on the battery.  If I do anything else (including switching the fuel pumps ON!), it will not start.  This is definitely not correct....hope it will be addressed in a future update.  Normally, I start the APU just prior to pushback and engine start, but that doesn't work.

Multiple problems today - can't start APU as before-->can't start engines.  CS has REALLY fallen from it's FS/P3D days....so sad.

The only decent B717 is by another developer for the FS/P3D platforms.  I know, because in 2006 I did a session in a another company B717-200 simulator at Boeing's Alteon Training facility adjacent to KLGB airport.

So I've never had such massive problems with the CS717. I've been working with this aircraft since its release.
Some problems may well be due to the settings in MSFS, others may be due to installed MODs and others may be due to not always running all updates, etc.
I have already experienced this myself, where a MOD caused major problems for me, not with the CS717 but with another aircraft. A colleague of mine had problems with the A320 Fenix ​​due to incorrect keyboard layouts.
There are definitely minor issues here and there, but I know that the Captain Sim team is working to improve this aircraft.
Please check whether there are any settings that could cause these problems.

i have checked everything and even followed the manual for the start up of the apu and have watched the posted video and it start and than stops and go back to 0 i need this plane to work or im going to have to use old p3d for a 717

Please try this:
If APU does not start, go back to the main menu, reload the aircraft, go to the gate and try again. Only Battery ON and then APU to START.....Please let us know if the APU starts now...

i have tried that and it still wont work

tbh the apu  should be allowed to be started after u have gotten ground power because starting the apu so soon burns fuel and they dont start the apu till they are about ready to pushback

Checking it see if the APU start up issues is fixed.  I have tried several times following the last update, no matter what steps I follow it will not start.  It appears to be trying to drop back after a few tries.  Any ideas as it was working in the past?

    • 1. Turn  Battery-Switch to ON
    • 2. Be sure that Start-Pump Switch is set to ON
    • 3. Turn APU-Master Switch to START-Position and hold it for 2 sec. before release.
    • 4. have look to the Right EICAS-Display (APU is running up)
    • 5. If APU-RPM at 100% turn AIR-APU to ON
    • 6. Turn APU-Generator-Switch to ON
    • 7. Turn External Power-Switch (if External-Power available) to ON

Still do not work after the very latest version (1.1.0.2)
If I want to fly the only thing to do is CTRL+E, but for me it is not actual.
This is paywere and it should work with basic options!!!!!

After hours of studing and testing I cam to this conclusion that works for me:
Start Pump---on
Battery ---on
Apu Master set to run 10 sec
Then Apu Master sart hold for 3 sec
--100% set Apu Air --on
Apu start and Ext power to--o
Left and Right Gen to---on
L and R Bleed to --on
Fuel pumps on
Open Fuel window on piedestal and start right engine
when 20% activate Fuel Cut off
Isolation switch to --on
Start r
left engine same procedur
L and R bleed to auto
L packs on

Another trick if the APU does not start:
- start MSFS
- setup flight
- press FLY, READY TO FLY
- after loading press Escape and press RESTART
- press CONTINUE
- try to run APU
