Title: MSFS Store Versions with 777WorldlinerRS Mod 1.3.2 Post by Mike777 on Oct 18th, 2023 at 1:00am
Please let me know if this works for you by replying to this thread.
It is possible to use the 777 WorldlinerRS Mod 1.3.2 for CaptainSim models purchased in the MSFS Store. The following steps are for the 777-200ER. I own the Store model 777-200 PW engines. These instructions are for that model, but should work with the MSFS Store versions of the 777-200ER RR and GE. Begin with the files you have downloaded from the link in the "Fix 1.3.2 for the 777/764 WorldlinerRS Mod" thread. You will need three files: wlrs-captainsim-boeing-base wlrs-captainsim-boeing-behavior wlrs-captainsim-b772-ge90 You do not need to modify the first two files. Just make sure they are in your Community folder. (The Community Folder is typically located at C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community) Here are the three key steps: 1) A) MAKE A COPY of the folder wlrs-captainsim-b772-ge90 B) RENAME it to wlrs-captainsim-b772-PW-Store (The precise name is not important, so long as you can distinguish it from the 772-GE90 file.) Place it in the Community folder. 2) A) Go to your MSFS Official/OneStore folder where your Store version of the 777-200ER is located. This folder is typic- ally at: C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore For the PW version, look for the folder captainsim-aircraft-p872 B) Click on it, then click on SimObjects, then click on Airplanes. You will see a folder CS772ER_PW CAREFULLY copy the folder's EXACT NAME ONLY. (The name will be different if you have the 777-200 RR or GE MSFS Store versions.) 3) Now go back to the folder (in the Community folder) wlrs-captainsim-b772-PW-Store This is the one you have copied from the 772-ge90 folder in Step 1. A) Click on it, then click on SimObjects, then click on Airplanes. You will see a folder CS_B777-200ER_GE90B RENAME it to the name you have copied in Step 2B. (For the 777-200 PW version it is CS772ER_PW) B) Go back up two levels. You will see a file called layout.json MAKE A BACKUP COPY -- you can name it layout.json.OFF i. If you know how to use an external program to scan all the files and modify layout.json (such as MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe available on various flight simming sites), do that now. Otherwise go to ii. ii:Open the file layout.json using Notepad. CAREFULLY do a Find and Replace-All. FIND CS_B777-200ER_GE90B REPLACE it with CS772ER_PW It is best to use REPLACE ALL SAVE this file -- make sure it is still called layout.json Make sure the following three files are in your Community Folder: wlrs-captainsim-boeing-base wlrs-captainsim-boeing-behavior wlrs-captainsim-b772-PW-Store (You can also place these files in the Official/Store Folder - it doesn't seem to matter). That's it! For the MSFS Store 777-300ER (77W) substitute the file wlrs-captainsim-b77w-ge90 for the wlrs-captainsim-b772-ge90 file in the above steps. It should work. For the MSFS Store 777 Freighter substitute the file wlrs-captainsim-b77f-ge90 For the 777-200LR, 777-300 PW and RR unfortunately there are no appropriate files to work with (These are not ER versions and are quite different from the 777-300ER) For the 777-200LR you can try using the wlrs-captainsim-b77f-ge90 file, as the -200LR is basically the same as the -F, but it will have cargo loads instead of passenger ones. |

V2 calculated by FMC Takeoff page seems too low to me. VR is way off. I set V2 to 8-10 knots higher than calculated by FMC, subtract about 7 knots to get VR and type those numbers into the takeoff slots on the Takeoff page. V1 is just a guess depending on runway length and weight of aircraft. With the Autothrottle on, the engines are slow to rev up to selected TOGA thrust. I now keep the Autothrottle off and manually push the throttles to maximum. Sometimes I've noticed the engines rolling back in Climb mode instead of maintaining Climb thrust. Again, controlling the throttles manually, Autothrottle off, works. I don't understand your question about "stab tanks" or what this has to do with takeoff problems. Mike |

Thanks for you're input, With regard to the stab tanks all the videos i have watched of people using this mod had mentioned emptying the stab tanks before departure as this apparently alters the CG Negatively.

Hi olib133, There have been quite a few versions of the Salty mod, mostly on Flightsim.to. This may refer to early versions which used the Salty 777 (no longer necessary). I have never seen this -- the current version has no "stab tanks." Just a center tank and two wing tanks. This is the link for the thread with the CS version. It used to be at the top of the 777 III (MSFS) Forum but for some reason it isn't anymore. https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1682002593/0 Mike |

I forgot to add, I suggest you use the CS 1.3.2. version as CS modified it to work with their latest versions.
