I apologize if this thread is in the wrong section of the forum but I’m not sure what version the original boxed DVD version for FSX/FS9 is?

My question is will this version work in FSX SE on Windows 10?
If not, will the latest Captain Sim 757 III PW Base Pack work in FSX SE on Windows 10? That system requirements link goes to the wrong place so I can’t tell.

I think the boxed version is v4.2. It should work on Windows 10. As long as FSX isn't installed, it should point to FSX-SE (which it will see as FSX), and install it (you might also need to point it to where FSX-SE is installed first though).
To find out for sure, it could be worth checking with Just Flight, who AFAIK, made the boxed version for FSX.

Another question: Will the 4.6 patch work with this Boxed DVD Version we’re talking about? And if so, how would I go about obtaining it not having made a purchase from the Captainsim website? Doesn’t appear to be any way to contact the CS folks or log in without making a purchase.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with the boxed version, and there is no way for you to get the 757 Captain v4.6 (it's a discontinued product that has since been replace by the 757 Captain III (32bit for FSX/FSX-SE/P3D3)).
So... Other than to just continue using the v4.2 boxed version, would be to buy the 757 Captain III from the Captain Sim Online store.

Fair enough. Thank you Mark for the info and quick responses to my questions. It’s all good, first world problems 😉. Haven’t had time to try the boxed install yet but will see how it goes and decide on the new product from there.
